General Information
The Model 12251-002 Aluminum Weatherproof Cabinet Door Spring Modification Kit is designed to
replace the hinges on the following Page/Party
spring-loaded hinges:

The kit includes the following components:

Modifica tion Procedure
1. Remove the lower hinge pin. (For units with a stainless steel pin, drive the pin out using a 7/32-inch
pin punch. For units with a Teflon
Ream the hole using a 0.25-inch diameter drill bit.
2. Position the spring (#1) as shown in Figure 1. Align the coils of the spring with the hinge hole while
sliding the new hinge pin (#2) into the assembly. Place the nylon washers (#4) on the hinge pin.

3. Press the new retainers (#3) onto the new hinge pin using a ¼-inch hex socket wrench. Allow a 1/16-
inch clearance between retainer and washer and the spring.
