Operationoftheextractorhoodaboveahearthfor

extractorhoodwhenpotsandpansareplacedon

Donotoperateallhotplatessimultaneouslyovera
prolongedperiod(max.15minutes)atmaximum
thermalload,otherwisethereisariskofburnsfrom
touchingthehousingsurfacesorariskofdamaging
theextractorhood.Whenoperatingtheextractor
hoodaboveahob,operatethehoodatmaximum
settingifthreeormorehotplatesareonatthesame
time.
Theapplianceisnotintendedforusebyyoung
childrenorinfirmedpersonswithoutsupervision.
Youngchildrenshouldbesupervisedtoensurethey
donotplaywiththeappliance.
Donotletadultsorchildrenoperatetheappliance

Operation
Thecontrolpanelisbuiltintothehandlerailofthe
screenslideandislocatedontherighthandside.
Afterinstallation,theunitcanbeoperatedfromthe
front.
Afteractivation,allfunctionselectionkeyswiththe
exceptionoftheOFFkey(„Motoroff")areback-lit
ingreen.
Light
Thelightingcanbeswitchedonoroff,regardless
ofwhethertheextractorisinoperation,bypressing
the0key(seeFig.3).
Fanlevels
Threefanspeedsandoneintensivespeedare
available(seeFig.4).
Yousetthefanlevelrequiredtosuityourneedsby
pressingthefunctionselectorkeys1,2,3orInt.

TheIntkeyfortheintensivelevelshouldbepressed
whenbrowningandfryinginanopenpan.

Ifyouhaveswitchedonthehoodbyselectingthe
intensivelevel,itwillbeswitchedoffagain
automaticallyafter5minutes.
IfyoupresstheIntkeywhilethehoodisrunningat
fanlevel1,2or3theelectroniccontrolwillswitch
backautomaticallytothepreviouslyselectedfan
levelafter5minutes(seeFig.6).
PresstheOFFkey(motoroff)ifyouwishtoswitch
offtheintensivelevelbefore
the5minuteperiod
haselapsed(seeFig.7).Youcanswitchoffthe
hood’sextractionfunctionatanytimebypressing
theOFFkey(motoroff).

Specialfunctions
Intensive:
Youcansetthehoodonintensivefor3,5or
10minutesbysimultaneouslypressingtheIntkey
andthe1,2or3keyandyoucanstorethissetting
(seeFig.8).Whendelivered,theapplianceissetto
fiveminutes,i.e.thecombinationoftheIntkeyand
thekey2.
After-runninglevel:
Youcansetandstoretheafter-runninglevelby
simultaneouslypressingthekeyrandthekey1,2
or3(seeFig.9).
Level2,i.e.thecombinationofthekeyrandthe
key2,aresetatthefactory.
Theafter-runningtimeforallsettingsisten
minutes.Theventilationandlightingfunctions
switchoffautomaticallyafterthistime.
Intervalventilation:
Intervalventilationisaspecialfeatureofthis
appliancewhichactivatesthefanforfiveminutes
everyhour.Youcanactivatethisfunctionby
simultaneouslypressingtheOFFkeyandthe1,2or
3keydependingontherequiredextractioncapacity
(seeFig.10).
Thismodeofoperatingisindicatedbyalternating
Illuminationofthekeyrtogetherwiththe
correspondingfanlevelindicator.

thekeyOFF.

Cleaningandcare
ThegreasefiltersaturationdisplayFflashesafter
operating30hourstoindicateyouthatyoushould
cleanthegreasefilter(seeFig.2).Itgoeswithout
sayingthatthegreasefiltercanbecleanedatany
time,evenifthegreasefiltersaturationdisplayis
notflashing.
Themetalgreasefilterscanberemovedeasilyfor
cleaning(seeFig.12):
Gripthehandlerailofthegreasefilterandpullthe
greasefiltertowardsyououtoftheunit.
Themetalgreasefilterscanbecleanedinadish-
washeratamaximumtemperatureof65°C
(149°F),whereitshouldbesupportedvertically
to
allowfoodorresiduetodrainoff.
Slightdiscolorationsmayoccurwhencleaning
metalfiltersinadishwasher.
Ifpossible,theinnerpartsofthehousingshouldbe
wipedoutwithhotwaterwhenreplacingthefilters.
Thesoundinsulationmatscanbecleanedeasily.
Avoidusingpointedorroughobjectswhencleaning
them.
Aftercleaningit,re-insertthegreasefilterinthe
hoodinthepositionfromwhereyouremovedit.
Thegreasefiltersaturationdisplayisresetby
pressingtheFkey.Flashingoftheindicatinglamp
goesoff.
Note:
Activatedcharcoalfiltersdonotcontainany
pollutingsubstances.Theycanbedisposedof
throughthenormalrefusecollectionchannels.

Recirculatingairmode
Ifyoudecidedtopurchasethehoodwithcirculating
aircapability,youmustreplacetheactivated
charcoalfilter(optional)afteracertainperiodof
operation(seeFig.14).Ifusedoncedaily,the
charcoalfiltermustbereplacedapproximatelyonce
totwiceannually:Firstremovethegreasefilterfrom
themount.AsshowninFig.14,removethe
activatedcharcoalfilterfromtheextractortowards
youandreplacetheoldonebyanewactivated
charcoalfilter.

Viewingwindow
Theviewingwindowconsistingofhardenedglass

airrecirculationmode.Theexhaustaircanbe
routedintoaseparateexhaustairshaftordirectly
intotheopenthroughtheoutsidewall.
Itisnotallowedtopasstheexhaustairintoaflue
orexhaustairchimneythatisinoperationorintoa
shaftthatislinkedtotheheatingbasement.
Consultthechimneysweepresponsibleforyour
districtwheneveryouwishtopasstheexhaustair
intoachimneythatisnotinoperation.
Duringthecourseofplanning,achimneysweep
mustbeconsultedifaroomair-dependenthearth
isoperatedinthesameroomastheoneinwhicha
hoodisoperatedintheexhaustairmode.Adequate
incomingairmustbeensured.Theapplicable
constructionandsafetyregulationsmustbe
observed.
Adequateincomingairmustbeensuredifawood,
