Manufacturer’s notes
Energy Star
The Fujitsu Siemens proj ector XP60 is desi gned t o conserve electricity by
dropping to less than 12 W when it goes into standby, suspend and OFF
mode. With this new power m anagement the XP60 qualif i es for the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Energy Star Computers award.
The EPA estimates that comput er equipment uses 5% percent of all business electricity and that
this is growing rapidly. If all desktop computers and peri pheral s enter a low-power mode when not in
use, the overall savings in electricity could amount to $ 2 thousand million annually. These sav i ngs
could also prevent the emiss i on of 20 million tons of carbon dioxide into the at mosphere - the
equivalent of 5 million automobiles.
As an Energy Star P art ner, Fujitsu Siemens Computers GmbH has determ i ned that this product
meets the Energy S t ar gui del i nes for energy effic i ency.
CE marking
The shipped version of t hi s device compli es with the requirements of t he EEC
directives 89/336/EE C "E lec tromagnetic compatibility" and 73/ 23/EEC "Low voltage
directive".

Notes on ergonomic colour adjustment
If you select colours for the projector in your applicat i on program mes, take note of the information
below.
The basic colour red and blue on a dark background do not achieve t he m i ni mum contrast of 3:1
and should not be used.
When using several colours for characters and background and giving the prim ary colours full
modulation, you can obtain very suitabl e colour combinations (see the following table):
-Colour combination not s ui t abl e because colour locations are too close together, thin
characters are not ident i fiable or rigorous focus i ng i s demanded of the human eye.
