Energy Star
The Fujitsu Siemens proj ector XP50 is designed to conserve elect ricity by dropping to less than 9 W when it goes into standby, suspend and OFF mode. With this new power m anagement the XP50 qualif i es for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Energy Star Computers award.
The EPA estimates that comput er equipment uses 5% percent of all business electricity and that this is growing rapidly. If all desktop computers and peripheral s enter a low-power mode when not in use, the overall savings in electricity could amount t o $ 2 thousand million annually. These savi ngs could also prevent the emiss i on of 20 million tons of carbon dioxide into the at mosphere - the equivalent of 5 million automobiles. As an Energy Star P art ner, Fujitsu Siemens Computers GmbH has determ i ned that this product meets the Energy S t ar gui del i nes for energy effic i ency.
CE certificate
The shipped version of t hi s device complies with the requirements of the EEC directives 89/336/EE C "E lec tromagnetic compatibility" and 73/ 23/ EEC "Low voltage directive".
