CELSIUS RemoteAccess
Many attempts have been made to enable desktop centralization over the last decade, but they have been hampered by limitations such as responsiveness, lack of media or graphics support, OS image management challenges and peripheral interoperability. By solving these issues, PC-over-IP™ technology is a disruptive innovation that will change the desktop computing model by enabling desktop consolidation benefits to be realized across the enterprise.
To create a PC-over-IP System, Fujitsu provides a solution that delivers the users’ desktop over a standard IP network. The CELSIUS RemoteAccess host card is used in the centralized host PC or workstation, while the CELSIUS RemoteAccess desktop portal is used in a small, stateless desktop appliance. The CELSIUS RemoteAccess host card integrates easily into existing host CPU architectures where it is tasked with encoding the complete desktop environment. The encoded desktop is then communicated in real time over an IP network such as an enterprise LAN to the CELSIUS RemoteAccess desktop portal.
Now any PC-over-IP™ system user can enjoy the true PC user experience they are accustomed to with the security, reliability and efficiency of fully centralized computing.
