Information on handling memory cards
• Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro and SD cards are
inserted into the appropriate memory slot with the
contacts facing downwards.
• Smart Media cards and xD cards are inserted into the
SM or xD slot with the contacts facing upwards.
• With CompactFlash and Microdrive, please note that
these should be inserted in the corresponding slot with
the contacts facing forwards and the type label
upwards.
• Please note that MemoryStick Duo, MemoryStick
Pro Duo as well as RS-MMC and Mini-SD may only
be used with special adapters in the appropriate
slot. Do not insert these cards directly into a slot as
they will fall into the card reader. This may result in
damage to the reader and the memory card. The
required adapters are not supplied with the card
reader. They are often included with the purchase of
such memory cards.
Caution!
• If the ACCESS LED is flashed, please do not
remove a memory medium as data loss may
occur and the memory medium may be
irreversibly damaged.
• Do not use force, for the memory media can
be easily inserted in and also removed from
the intended slot.
