Modem and 10/100 Ethernet are standard features for communication on the LifeBook E2000 notebook, providing you the convenience of connecting to your office network or connecting at home using a standard dial-up modem, or broadband (such as DSL or Cable modem). With optional Wi-Fi Certified

compliant wireless LAN 802.11b communication on selected models, you can experience the ultimate flexibility with cable-less connectivity.

Secure Computing

For an added level of security, the LifeBook E2000 notebook incorporates a built-in Smart Card Reader

and a pre-boot data Security Panel with more than 800,000 possible passwords to help ensure your data will be safe and secure. The Reader is capable of supporting a wide range of applications, such as secured online transactions, personalized authentication services, access to personal data, and “e-cash” storage options.
