This is the instruction manual of personal computer communication software for Fuji Portaflow-X

Read this instruction manual carefully before using this personal computer communication
software.

This software is protected by copyright and all rights are reserved. No part of it may be reproduced

or transferred by any means or in any form.

2. Outline

This software can show the measured values easily (On-line data or logger data) on personal

computers from the portable ultrasonic flow meter (Portaflow-X).

3. System requirements

Operating system (for DOS/V PC): Windows95, Widnows98, Widnows2000, WidnowsXP

Main memory: 32 Mbytes or more (recommended)
Hard disk capacity: 2Mbytes for program, 10Mbytes for data
Display resolutions: VGA or higher-resolution monitor
Communication cable (recommended): KRS-403XFIK (Sanwa supply Co.,Ltd.)
Connector changer (recommended): D9S-MM (Sanwa supply Co.,Ltd.)

(Note 2) When using a USB, use a USB-RS232C conversion adapter.

Refer to the instruction manual for the conversion adapter for its use.
Confirm the COM port of the conversion adapter and set the COM port before using the
USB.

You can download the following files on our homepage.

5. Installing software

(1) Installation of the software downloaded from our homepage

Execute the “setup.exe” file in the downloaded folder. Press the “Next” button to proceed.

(2) Installation of the software on a CD (when the downloaded software is copied to a CD)

Insert the setup CD into the drive, and execute the “setup.exe” file in the drive in accordance
with the procedures of Windows. Press the “Next” button to proceed.

(Note) When OS before Windows 2000 is used, a screen requesting restart may appear when

“setup.exe” file is executed. If the screen appears, press the “OK” button after closing all
the files. The PC restarts and installation begins.

6. Start and types of menu screens

Select “PORTAFLOW-X” from the Start menu, and the Menu screen appears (Fig. 1).

Select the “transfer mode” from the Menu screen and click the OK button, so the Menu screen is
switched to the screen as shown in Fig. 2 or Fig. 3. Explanation of each screen is as follows:
