Capítulo 1. Instalación.

1.1. Medidas de seguridad

1.- No situar el equipo cerca de ninguna fuente de calor.

2.- No someta al equipo a temperaturas que excedan el rango de funcionamiento del aparato.

3.- No exponga el equipo a goteos o salpicaduras.

4.- No coloque objetos que contengan líquidos sobre el equipo.

5.- Respetar las ranuras de ventilación del equipo, sin cubrirlas con ningún tipo de objeto.

6.- Mantener libre de obstáculos alrededor del equipo, mínimo un radio de 40 cm.

7.- Evitar ubicaciones con posibilidad de que se viertan líquidos en su interior, y con cambios importantes de temperatura.

8.- Nunca abra el equipo usted mismo por riesgo de electrocución. En caso de problemas, acuda siempre a técnicos
cualificados.

9.- No abrir en ningún caso con el equipo conectado a la red eléctrica.

10.- Durante el conexionado es preferible que el equipo esté desconectado de la red eléctrica.

11.- Respete las normas de seguridad eléctrica durante el montaje. Utilice materiales que cumplan con la normativa
vigente.

12.- La clavija de conexión debe estar accesible de un modo rápido y simple para una rápida desconexión.

13.- Nunca toque el enchufe con las manos mojadas. Así mismo, desconecte siempre el aparato antes de manipular las
conexiones.

14.- No ponga ningún objeto pesado sobre el equipo, puesto que podría estropearse

15.- Si el equipo va a permanecer por mucho tiempo sin uso, es recomendable que lo desconecte de la red eléctrica.

16.- Las reparaciones y el mantenimiento del equipo debe ser realizado por técnicos especialistas de radio y televisión

1.3. Descripción y conexiones

Esta familia de amplificadores de banda ancha dispone de un canal de retorno configurable que puede ser activo o
pasivo. La diferencia entre los amplificadores es que los modelos HCA ZM 45-30 disponen de un canal de retorno de 5­30 MHz y los modelos HCA ZM 45-65 de 5-65 MHz.
Estos amplificadores disponen de una carcasa estanca de aluminio con una tapa extraíble para permitir al instalador
configurar el amplificador según las necesidades de la instalación.

En el interior de los equipos se muestra un esquema simplificado de las diferentes etapas del amplificador y también se
da acceso a configurar las diferentes opciones que ofrece.

La ganancia de los modelos HCA ZM 45-XX es de 42dB para la banda terrestre y 30dB para el canal de retorno
(Activo).
Todos los modelos incorporan un margen de regulación de 20 dB y una ecualización de 10 dB en la banda terrestre, y en
el canal de retorno incorporan un margen de regulación de 20 dB.
En la banda terrestre también existe la posibilidad de configurar mediante jumpers una regulación fija de 6dB y una
ecualización fija de 6dB. En las siguientes tablas se especifican las diferentes posiciones de los jumpers para regular y
ecualizar la banda de terrestre:

La configuración del canal de retorno se realiza mediante jumpers, en uno se configura la alimentación o no del
amplificador de retorno y en el otro si el canal es activo o pasivo. Las dos posibles configuraciones son:

En la siguiente tabla se especifica cual son las posiciones de los jumpers para conseguir un canal de retorno activo o
pasivo:

En el canal de retorno también se puede realizar una ecualización fija de 6dB mediante jumpers. A continuación se
muestra una tabla donde se especifica las diferentes posiciones de los jumpers para ecualizar o no el canal de retorno:

El equipo se suministra con un soporte de pared con tacos y tornillos incluidos.
Los pasos para realizar una correcta instalación son los siguientes:

- Bajar la pieza de sujeción. El equipo quedará suelto y se podrá separar el soporte del equipo.

- Fijar el soporte a la pared mediante los tacos y tornillos suministrados.

- Volver a introducir el equipo en el soporte de pared una vez esté instalado.

- Subir la pieza de sujeción para ajustar el equipo al soporte.

(*) Nota: Para los modelos HCA ZM 45-30 el margen de frecuencias de entrada y salida es de 47-862 MHz, y el canal de retorno de 5-30MHz. Para los

Ejemplo de instalación

Ejemplo de un edificio con dos viviendas con 8 tomas por vivienda. Se
distribuye la señal de CATV en cada una de las tomas.
El amplificador permite ecualizar la señal para así evitar la
descompensación entre frecuencias altas y frecuencias bajas, y de
esta manera llegar con un nivel óptimo de señal a cada una de las
tomas.
El amplificador permite configurar el canal de retorno como activo, de
esta forma se puede realizar la gestión de un posible servicio
multimedia que suministre el proveedor. El canal de retorno puede ser
de 30MHz o 65MHz dependiendo del modelo de HCA ZM 45-XX que
se utilice.

Chapter 1. Installation.

1.1. Safety measures

1.- Never place the equipment next to hot sources.

2.- Never undergo the equipment to temperatures that exceed the level of operation of the device.

3.- Do not expose the equipment to dripping or splashing.

4.- Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the equipment.

5.- Respect ventilation slots of this equipment. Avoid covering them with any object.

6.- Keep clean and without obstacles a minimum radius of 40 cm around this equipment.

7.- Avoid locations with possibilities of spilling liquids on the inside of the device, and with important changes of
temperature.

8.- Never open the equipment yourself due to electric risk. In case of problems, go always to qualified technicians..

9.- Never, under no circumstances, open the equipment connected to the electrical net.

10.- During the handling it is better to disconnect the equipment of the electrical net.

11.- Respect the electricity security rules during the assembling. Use materials that obey the current law.

12.- The connecting plug must be accessible in a fast and simple way to have a fast disconnection.

13.- Never touch the plug with wet hands. Also, disconnect always the device before handling the connections..

14.- Never put any heavy object over the device, as it could get damaged.

15.- If the equipment is going to remain some time without use, it is recommendable to disconnect it from the electrical
net.

16.- The repairmen and the maintenance of the equipment must be done by TV and radio specialist technicians.

1.3. Description and Connections

This family of broadband amplifiers has a configurable return path that can be active or passive. The difference between
amplifiers is that HCA ZM 45-30 models have a 5-30 MHz return path and HCA ZM 45-65 models have a 5-65 MHz one.
These amplifiers have aluminium housing with a removable cover that allows the installer to configure the amplifier
according to the needs of the installation.

Inside the equipment there is a simplified sketch of the different stages of the amplifier and also it is given the access to
configure the different options that the amplifier offers.

The gain of HCA ZM 45-XX amplifier is 42dB for terrestrial band and 30dB for return path (active).
They also incorporate a margin of regulation of 20 dB and an equalization of 10 dB in the terrestrial band and they
incorporate a regulation margin of 20 dB in the return path.
In the terrestrial band exists also the possibility of configuring a fixed regulation of 6dB and a fixed equalization of 6dB by
the means of jumpers. The different positions of the jumpers for regulating and equalizing the terrestrial band are specified
in the following tables:

The configuration of the return path is made through jumpers, in one of them it is configured the power to return path
amplifier or no power to return path amplifier and in the other if the channel is active or passive. The two possible
configurations are:

power to return path amplifier – active channel

and

without power to return path amplifier – passive

channel.

The following table specifies which the positions of the jumpers are in order to get a passive or active return path:

In the return channel we can also make a fixed equalization of 6dB by the means of jumpers. The different positions of the
jumpers for equalizing or not equalizing the return channel are shown in the following table:

The equipment is provided with a wall support with wedges and screws included.
The steps to make a correct installation are the followings:

- Bring down the fastening device. The equipment will be now loosed and it will be possible to separate the support
from the equipment.

- Fix the support to the wall with the wedged and screws provided.

- Introduce the equipment again in the wall support once it is installed.

- Bring up the fastening device to adjust the equipment to the support.
