/ Valle Dorado is a water park and resort located in Zacapa, one of the hottest
departments in Guatemala, so it is considered an oasis. Valle Dorado has
rooms, swimming pools, slides, golfito, spa and restaurants among others.
/ One of the primary objectives of Valle Dorado is to be a friendly company
with the environment, and in 2016 they sought to make this objective a reality.
So they decided to implement a solar energy project, being the first to install
a photovoltaic plant for self-consumption, generating approximately 90% of
its energy.
/ The photovoltaic plant has 3,360 solar panels of 315W and 8 Fronius Agilo
inverters of 100kW each. The photovoltaic plant generates an average of
1,727,396 kWh per year, equivalent to 1,218 tons of CO2 saved.
