1 Conversion of Stand Up HW09
1.1 Release history
1.2 General information
Instructions for converting an existing and functioning Stand Up device with version HW09.
The corresponding conversion kit HW09 (FP0023167) must be used for the conversion.
This conversion kit contains all parts for the Stand Up device.
The following parts for the Mobile Case device remain:
FRO Audio Mini-Dig.verst MDV3 MC (FP0022710)
MobileCase connection plate with USB-C (FR000338)
HT HEADER SLOT PLATE CONNECTOR 15PIN (FR000280)
1x display port slot plate connector (FR000076)
The conversion must only be carried out by trained specialist personnel.
ATTENTION! The device must be voltage-free before and during the conversion.
It is IMPORTANT that the mains cable is unplugged.

Disconnect all connection cables from connection plate
HW09.
With a screwdriver, unscrew the 4x oval-head screws
from connection plate HW09 and remove from the
device.
ATTENTION:
The 4x oval-head screws from connection plate HW09
are required for the later installation of the new
connection plate (FR000339).

Remove the following connections from
connection plate HW09:
1x RJ45 Switchcraft coupling
NEW:
1x StandUp connection plate with USB-C
(FR000339)
1x HDMI port (FR000292)
1x DP port cable (FR000293)
1x CABLE USB3.1-C Keystone 0.5 m
(FR000356)
Install all removed connections and new
connections:
1x StandUp connection plate with USB-C
(FR000339)
1x RJ45 Switchcraft coupling
1x HDMI port (FR000292)
1x CABLE USB3.1-C Keystone 0.5 m
(FR000356)
1x DP port cable (FR000293)
ATTENTION:
The DP port cable connector must be
screwed on with the narrow-slanted side at
the bottom.
Otherwise there will not be enough space
for the HP display port connector!
IMPORTANT:
All lettering on the
connecting plugs
should face uniformly
in one direction.

Remove the red button including cable
ATTENTION: Remove carefully!
The connection plate is recessed in the chipboard
with an additional metal bracket > could break out if
too much tension/pressure is applied.
Remove the OLD pin assignment LABEL and stick on
the new pin assignment LABEL (FR000121).

1x HP mains cable 230 V enclosed in the HP VR Reverb
G2 glasses package!
Remove the earthed plug and strip approx. 10 cm of
insulation.
1x CRIMP RING TERMINAL M4 Q=0.5-1.5 mm
(FR000348)
Strip the insulation from the yellow-green wire cable
and crimp on the CRIMP RING TERMINAL M4.
2x INSULATION SLEEVES RT ISOL. Q=4.75x0.8MM
(FR000353)
Cut 8 cm of blue and brown wire cable and strip the
insulation off all ends for later crimping.
Connect the same colours to one another again with an
insulation sleeve and crimp.
2x INSULATION SLEEVES RT ISOL. Q=4.75x0.81MM
(FR000354)
Attach an insulation sleeve terminal to each of the blue
and brown wire cables and crimp them together.
End result:

Drill the existing holes with an 8 mm drill bit for
the fixing plate (FR000104) to a depth of approx.
3-4 mm so that the plate is flush with the housing
plate.
ATTENTION: Do not drill through the housing
plate!
Place down 1x fixing plate (FR000104) and secure
in place with 13x oval-head screws 3.5x9.5.
Place 1x C-BOX holder (FR000213) on the fixing
plate (FR000104) and secure in place with 2x
countersunk screws M3x10
Secure + 1x short earthing cable with 1x oval-head
screw 3.5x9.5 to the sheet-metal parts and fix the
other end to the mains filter sheet.
1.4 Converting Stand Up HW09 to HW11

Secure 1x audio board (FP0022704) + AUDIO
HOLDING PLATE (FR000237) prepared with 3x
oval-head screws 3.5x9.5.
Secure the prepared new connection plate for
HW11 (see point 3.3) with the 4x oval-head
screws from connection plate HW09.
Place 1x Power Cube Box (FP0023499) on the CBox holder (FR000213) and fix it in place.

lower DP connection.

Route the cable from the monitor to the Power

USB-A 2.0 port.

Route the DP port cable from the already
prepared connection plate for HW11 to the Power
Cube Box (FP0023499) and connect it to the
middle DP connection.

+1x HP power supply unit enclosed in the HP VR
Reverb G2 glasses package!
Connect the HP power supply unit with the HP
distributor mains cable 230 V, align it and secure
the 3D glasses power supply unit holder INSIDE
(FR000332) over it with 3x oval-head screws
3.5x9.5.
Thread the fixed cable of the HP power supply
unit in curves, sometimes left sometimes right,
along the cable conduit to the strain-relief device.
At the connection plate for HW11, guide the cable
through the hole provided for this purpose.
Will be connected to the 3D glasses adapter later.

Route 1x HP distributor mains cable 230 V from
the HP power supply unit to the mains filter.
Suspend the earthing cable to the others on the
mains filter plate and fix it in place.
Connect 1x old mains filter cable to the new HP
distributor mains cable 230 V:
Disconnect the insulation sleeves of the old mains
filter cable from the mains filter and connect the
new insulation sleeves instead.
The old insulation sleeves are connected to the
new insulation sleeve terminals of the HP
distributor mains cable 230 V.
Connect the old mains filter cable to the Power
Cube Box (FP0023499).

One end is connected to the LocalNet RS232
converter and the other is connected to the
Power Cube Box (FP0023499) at the COM2
connection.
1x USB cable, 1.1 m
One end is connected to the Polhemus Tracking
Unit, routed to the Power Cube Box (FP0023499)
and plugged into the upper USB-A 2.0 port.

(FP0023499) at the LAN1 connection, route to the
connection plate for HW11 and connect.

Route the USB3.1-C Keystone CABLE 0.5 m already
pre-fitted on the upper connection plate towards
the Power Cube Box, connect the HP USB-C
adapter stick and the USB-A CABLE extension 0.5
m.
Connect the free end of the cable to the lower
USB-A 3.0 port (BLUE) of the Power Cube Box.
1x FRO USB-C STICK 32GB is enclosed!
