Instructions for converting an existing and functioning Stand Up device with version HW11 Pro.
The corresponding conversion kit HW11 (FP0023169) must be used for the conversion.
This conversion kit contains all parts for the Stand Up device.
The following parts for the Mobile Case device remain:
MobileCase connection plate with USB-C (FR000338)
The conversion must only be carried out by trained specialist personnel.
ATTENTION! The device must be de-energised and disconnected from the grid during the conversion.
It is IMPORTANT that the mains cable is unplugged.
Remove the following connections from
connection plate HW11 Pro:
1x RJ45 Switchcraft coupling
1x HDMI port
1x DP port cable
NEW:
1x StandUp connection plate with USB-C

Install all removed connections and new
connections:

The DP port cable connector must be
screwed on with the narrow-slanted side at
the bottom.

1.3.3 Preparing connection plate HW11 G2 for later installation
1x HP mains cable 230 V enclosed in the HP VR Reverb
G2 glasses package!
Remove the earthed plug and strip approx. 10 cm of
insulation.
1x CRIMP RING TERMINAL M4 Q=0.5-1.5 mm

Strip the insulation from the yellow-green wire cable
and
crimp on the CRIMP RING TERMINAL M4.
2x INSULATION SLEEVES RT ISOL. Q=4.75x0.8MM
(FR000353)
Cut 8 cm of blue and brown wire cable and strip the
insulation off all ends for later crimping.
Connect the same colours to one another again with an
insulation sleeve and crimp.
2x INSULATION SLEEVES RT ISOL. Q=4.75x0.81MM

Attach an insulation sleeve terminal to each of the blue
and brown wire cables and crimp them together.

information!
1.6 Starting for the first time after conversion of the device:
Starting for the first time must only be carried out by trained specialist personnel.
Connect the mains cable to the grid.
IMPORTANT in order to be able to use the HP Reverb G2 with the existing IPC, an operating system update of the IPC to
software V 15.21 (VWUpdate 1521OS) must be made. In addition to the normal Virtual Welding Update, the Win10
operating system is also updated (+ 15GB). The correct file can be requested via the GTSM.
IMPORTANT after the update of the IPC, an internet connection is necessary during the initial start-up in which the
Windows key is verified - if this is not possible, please contact GTSM.
ATTENTION The device is live!
IMPORTANT Between all steps involved in starting for the first time:
Disconnect the device from the power supply before working in the device.
Ensure that the device is protected against external activation.
1.6.1 Recalibrating the touchscreen device:
Calibration should not be automatically requested during commissioning of the completely converted device.
Setup menu > Technical settings > Touchscreen calibration
The following calibration options are also available:
Create 3x RFID CHIP contacts with transponder
Windows -> ELO -> Calibration
1.6.2 Function test of the "Left-Right" speaker device
Perform a function test of the "Left-Right" speaker device in the Setup menu without glasses connected!
Connect the data cable to the HP VR Reverb G2
glasses correctly:
The dot on the connector of the data cable
indicates how far it should be plugged into the VR
headset connection. The dot must lie just in front
of the glasses for the data cable to be correctly
connected to the VR headset.
Click the HP adapter into the 3D glasses adapter
holder OUTSIDE (FR000333) and hook it back onto
the device.
Connect the power supply unit connection on the
right side of the adapter.
Connect the HP display port connector to the
display port connection plate.
Connect the HP USB-C connector to the USB-C
connection plate.

1.6.3 Function test/calibration of the HP VR Reverb G2 glasses
Put on the glasses, start the calibration and follow the indicated directional movements (left-right-up-down,
etc.)
Management menu > Other settings > Calibration > Spatial calibration of 3D glasses
Function test of the glasses speakers:
Put on the glasses, open the speaker function test and check the response of the glasses speakers ("LeftRight"). It is best to hold the glasses speakers closed with your hands to make it easier to hear whether or not
they are working >> because the speakers of the device respond at the same time.
