/ PV system covers 40% of daily energy requirements
/ Rascal Seed Research Laboratories was founded in 1993 as the first privately owned company in South Africa to produce minitubers, a special type of potato. The company is the largest producer of early generation potato seed in the country.
/ To save energy costs and help protect the environment, Rascal has made the decision to invest in a PV system. PV specialists from RenEnergy are responsible for the installation of a 250 kWp system, comprising nine Fronius Eco inverters and comprehensive system monitoring. The system is fitted with a Fronius Sensor Box, which allows the operator to keep an eye on the ambient and module temperature as well as irradiation levels and wind speed.
/ “We opted for products from Fronius owing to the excellent yields they produ-
ce,” explains Claude Peters from RenEnergy. “Fronius also provides outstanding
technical support for our projects.”
