Prepping for Installation
Do you have a calibrated insulated (1000V) torque driver with the correct Torx T20 and T25 bits?
Have you downloaded and studied the latest revision of both the Installation Manual (https://goo.gl/1PZTtC)
and the Operations Manual (https://goo.gl/xUUFPJ)? Read the manual prior to installing the inverter.
Do you have the most recent Inverter software loaded on a USB drive, formatted to FAT32, unzipped to the
root .udp file? Is it the only file on that drive? (

Mounting Bracket Installation
Have you located a flat, stable mounting surface, located out of direct sunlight (for optimal performance)?
Did you only use the flanged mounting holes and 1” fender washers?
Are washers properly seated so they do not extend outside the flanged area?
Will the mounting method ensure sufficient support of the inverter and ensure that the mounting bracket will
not flex or bend? Is the Fronius Primo mounted within the allowable tilt (0° to 90°)?
Have you maintained minimum clearances of 8” from wall, 4” between multiple inverters and 8” from top)?

Conduit, Conductors a nd Com m unica t ion Wire Installation
Is the PV DC polarity correct and confirmed?
Are the PV DC voltage measurements within inverter specifications (between 80V and 600V for residential
installations and 80V to 1,000V for ground mount)?
Has the allowable conduit size been used (3/4” for 8.2kW and smaller, and 1.25” for 10KW larger)
Is the conduit system installed to prevent water from entering the inverter:
Are all conduit entry and exit points properly sealed with an appropriate water-tight cord grip, putty
or sealant?
Are the conduit ground bushings free from obstructing the proper closing of the mounting bracket to the
inverter power stack (facing either up or down, not facing out of the inverter)?
Are the DC and AC conductors installed with the necessary service loop length?
Are the conductors routed behind the DC disconnect actuator?
