OVERVOLTAGE PROTECTION FRONIUS TAURO ECO

hereby confirms that the Fronius inverters
Fronius Tauro Eco
are designed according to overvoltage category 2 on the DC side an according to overvoltage category 3 on the
AC side as required by IEC/EN 62109-1. The inverters include a passive protection against overvoltage located
on the AC and DC terminals, as well as an overvoltage-limiter, which helps to prevent possible damage of the
inverter caused by an indirect lightning strike.
From a manufacturer’s point of view, assuming the absence of any national or locals norms that require an
external overvoltage-protection, it is therefore allowed to install the inverters without any additional overvoltageprotection on the DC and AC side.
