OVERVOLTAGE PROTECTION FRONIUS GALVO

hereby certifies that the inverters
/ Fronius Galvo 1.5-1 – 3.1-1
are designed according overvoltage category 2 on the DC side and according overvoltage category 3 on the AC
side as required by IEC/EN 62109-1. The inverters dispose of a passive protection against overvoltage located
on the AC and DC terminals, as well as an overvoltage-limiter, which help to prevent possible damage of the
inverter caused by an indirect lightning stroke.
From a manufacturer’s point of view, assuming the absence of any national or locals norms that require an
external overvoltage-protection, it is therefore allowed to install the inverters without any additional overvoltageprotection on the DC and AC side.
