Sicherheit

Allgemeines Die Option OPT/i CU 2000 dient zur Erhöhung der Kühlleistung bei einem vorhandenen

Kühlgerät.
So kann ein Kühlgerät CU 1400i PRO /MC mit einer max. Kühlleistung von 1700 W * auf
ein CU 2000i PRO /MC mit einer max. Kühlleistung von 3200 W aufgerüstet werden.

* max. Kühlleistung bei Q = max. / 25 °C (77 °F)

WARNUNG! Ein elektrischer Schlag kann tödlich sein. Vor Öffnen des Gerätes

- Netzschalter in Stellung - O - schalten

- Gerät vom Netz trennen

- ein verständliches Warnschild gegen Wiedereinschalten anbringen

- mit Hilfe eines geeigneten Messgerätes sicherstellen, dass elektrisch gela­dene Bauteile (z.B. Kondensatoren) entladen sind

WARNUNG! Fehlerhaft durchgeführte Arbeiten können schwerwiegende Perso­nen- und Sachschäden verursachen. Nachfolgend beschriebene Tätigkeiten dür­fen nur von geschultem Fachpersonal durchgeführt werden! Beachten Sie das
Kapitel „Sicherheitsvorschriften“ in der Bedienungsanleitung der Stromquelle und
der Systemkomponenten.

WICHTIG! Beim Einsetzen des Steckers darauf achten, dass die breite Ausnehmung (1)
oben ist.

General

Safety

General The OPT/i CU 2000 option serves to increase cooling power in existing cooling units.

This means a CU 1400i PRO /MC cooling device with a max. cooling power of 1700 W *
can be upgraded to a CU 2000i PRO /MC with a max. cooling power of 3200 W.

* max. cooling power at Q = max. / 25°C (77°F)

Scope of Supply

WARNING! Electric shocks can be fatal. Before opening the device:

- Set power switch to - O - on the welding power supply.

- Unplug the welding power supply from main power.

- Display an obvious warning sign advising others not to switch the power
source back on.

- Use a suitable measuring instrument to ensure that electrically charged com­ponents (e.g., capacitors) are discharged.

WARNING! Work performed incorrectly can cause serious injury and damage to
property. Only trained and qualified personnel should carry out the activities de­scribed here. Please observe the information in the “Safety Rules” chapter of the
Operating Instructions for the power source and system components.

Remove dummy cover

The following work is carried out on the CU 1400i PRO /MC cooling unit.

IMPORTANT! When inserting the plug, make sure that the wide recess (1) is at the top.

Position the harness connected into the cooler blank
from the inside to the outside.
Secure the connector using the two TX20 M4x8 mm
screws.
Tightening torque = 2 Nm

Run the cable to the PC board
Insert the rubber bushing in the recess on the dividing
panel to protect the wiring harness.

Plug the cable harness into the PC board FKS3200 /
X1 / X4 / X7* / X8

* IMPORTANT! When plugging the harness into the X7, ensure that the connector

is only plugged in according to the following diagram.

Attach cable using cable tie
Cut cable tie to length

Remove the red connection socket using a size 14 mm
wrench, remove the O-ring from the connection socket
– the O-ring from the connection socket will need to be
used again later.

Final Tasks

Attach the o-ring saved from the previous connection
and thread the coolant fitting onto cooler's fitting

Replace side panel and lid
Attach side panel and lid using 9 TX25 screws
Tightening torque = 3 Nm

Secure the fitting onto the cooler using a 14mm
wrench.
