Merco is a supermarket chain founded in Nueva
Rosita, Coahuila 70 years ago with the aim of
being the best supermarket to work for in Mexico.
With a total of 30 stores and a workforce of more
than 3,000 people, Merco is a leading supermarket
in the state of Coahuila and Nuevo Leon.
Within the group, Merco has a distribution center
in Nuevo Leon called Operadora Merco where
grocery and refrigeration products are stored and
distributed. To make distribution more efficient,
the supermarket chain aimed to speed up the
charging process of its forklift batteries during
work shifts, while ensuring a longer battery life.

the Fronius Perfect Charging team conducted

of 56%.
To improve its positioning on the market and increase the efficiency in intralogistics,
Operadora Merco decided to replace its 60 Hz chargers with 10 Fronius Selectiva chargers.
The decisive factors for the change were the quality, efficiency and innovation of the Fronius
technology, as well as the benefits of the unique Ri charging process, energy savings and
reduced maintenance costs.
Operadora Merco plans to continue working with Fronius in the future and to equip its other
distribution centers and charging rooms with Fronius Selectiva chargers.
