LATEST NEWS – GEN24
Here you can find the latest technical information of Fronius GEN24 inverters.
FIRMWARE
VERSION
SOLUTION
Using LAN and WLAN at the same
time in the network settings can lead
to problems in data transmission.
Configure either LAN or WLAN. Remove
the superfluous configuration.
An error in the automatic IP address
assignment (DHCP) can cause the
network connection to fail.
Assign a static IP address.

The time entered in the load
management function under the
"Target runtime" option for the "To be
achieved by" parameter is treated as
UTC time. In systems, depending on
the time zones, this means that the
outputs switch on too early or too late
in order to achieve the target runtime.
Convert the local time to UTC time.

Additional service messages are sent
by the GEN24 inverter on the
Solar.web portal. The following service
messages are affected: 1001, 1020,
1022, 1024, 1030, 1034, 1071, 1112,
1168, 1175, 1187, 1244, 1245.
Hide the service messages on the
Solar.web portal under the menu item
"Service messages" → "Actions" for the
entire system
Optimisation with
1.14.110-1
For a better overview,
service messages in
Solar.web are now
categorized by urgency.
Energy meter (kWh total, etc.) on the
interface of the inverter does not work.
The energy meter data can be read on
Solar.web under the energy balance.
Prerequisite: Inverter must be online and
implemented on the Solar.web portal
With firmware 1.12.5-0 the
energy meter is completely
removed. The solution
date is currently not
known.
Ohmpilot display in the Solar.web
component view is incomplete and
there is no way to update the
Ohmpilot.
If an update of the Ohmpilot is urgently
required, Fronius TechSupport can
perform this via remote access to the
GEN24.
The Ohmpilot is not displayed on the
user interface of the GEN24, although
there is a connection to the Ohmpilot.

The GEN24 system is displayed "offline"
in the Solar.web portal, although the
GEN24 data communication interface is
connected to the home network and the
home network has a stable internet
connection.
Switch off the Symo GEN24 inverter
on the AC and DC sides for approx.
2 minutes and then switch it on
again.
GEN24 API not compatible with Loxone
(and other third party applications)

For new GEN24 devices with firmware
version 1.14.110-1 or higher, the Solar
API interface is not activated by default.
If required, the interface must be
activated on the user interface of the
inverter under Communication –
Solar API.
Only applies to new devices.
Updating an installed device to
1.14.110-1 does not
deactivate the Solar API.
