/ Universidad Tecnológica de Hermosillo (UTH) installed PV systems with
a peak power of 80 kW in the rooftop of three of their buildings. The PV
generator has the objective of promoting the uses and benefits of this
technology inside the university community. It is even planned to be used as
laboratory for students and professors from careers like Renewable Energies,
Industrial Maintenance and Mechatronics.
/ Added to this, the systems will be used in practical sessions during trainings
which are offered by the university as a service to the industry. Following the
same line, it is worth to be mentioned that UTH is already doing certifications
for determined standards like the EC0586.01 from Mexican program
CONOCER.
/ The PV installation is considered part of an energy campaign where lamps
will be substituted for LED luminaries. This kind of actions are resulting in
doubts and curiosity from staff, students and visitors about the goodness of
using clean energies. It’s not about only economic savings, it’s also creating
sensitization to the environment. UTH itself inculcates these values in order
to enhance the human growth and to contribute to the ecologic cause.
