MARKINGS
The manufacturer is required to apply the following markings:
• Products shall be marked with the markings specified by the particular product standard.
• Products certified for Canada shall have all Caution and Warning markings in both English and French.
Additional bilingual markings not covered by the product standard(s) may be required by the Authorities Having
Jurisdiction. It is the responsibility of the manufacturer to provide and apply these additional markings, where
applicabl e, in accordance with the requir ements of those authoriti es.
The products listed are eligible to bear the CSA Mark shown with adjacent indicators 'C' and 'US' for Canada and
US (indicating that products have been manufactured to the requirements of both Canadian and U.S. Standards) or
with adjacent indicator 'US' for US only or without either indicator for Canada only.
The following markings are included on an Approved name plate, or on a metal name plate attached to the
enclosure (Ill. 1):

Material: 3M™ 7872EC/EJ (UL and cUL recognized; File Number MH18072)
- The manufacturer's name and/or Master Contract "203213" near the CSA mark.
- The CSA mark and, at the manufacturer's option, ether "NRTL/C" or "C" and "US" or “US”.
- Electrical rating : volts, hertz, amperes, and number of phases.
- The model designation, and output electrical rating as applicable : volts, amperes, duty cycle and
maximum open circuit volts.
The date of the manufacture i s traceable through a date-coded serial number.
The polarity of the output terminals is marked.
The following warnings or equivalent (Ill 2) are included on the enclosure front or top.
"WARNING": - ARC WELDING CAN BE INJURIOUS TO OPERATOR AND PERSONS IN THE
WORK AREA.
- CONSULT INSTRUCTION MANUAL BEFORE OPERATING.
In addition the following marking appears on the power source:
- IF CONNECTED TO A CIRCUIT PROTECTED BY FUSES, USE TIME DELAY FUSE MARKED "D".
