Fronius Checklist for replacement inverters (Snapinverter) within Warranty [UK] Process Description [EN]

Look for cracks in the
plastic inverter chassis
These cannot be repaired so this damage requires a new inverter chassis
Permanent ink marks and dents will also need to be repaired at cost
Damage
RETURN INVERTER WARRANTY CHECKS - SNAPINVERTERS
Only one central gland
should be present
Additional glands or drill holes will invalidate the warranty
A new chassis will be required

Check the AC and DC
varistors on the filter
board for visible damage
Over voltage faults are not covered by warranty
Over voltage protection should be installed if the inverter if at risk of surges
Over-voltage
If the wrong torques are
applied, there is a risk of
stripping threads
Arcing to terminal block, and filter board is possible if then inverter is not bolted to the backplate.
Water ingress may occur if bolts are left loose
Torque settings
Damage to the screen
including dropped pixels
are not covered by warranty
A new RECERBO board will be required

When packing the inverter for return:
Repack the return inverter in the replacement unit’s box. Ensure the transit cover is fitted and bolted tightly as loose components may be
damaged in transit
Ensure the inverter is bolted to the transit back plateSecurely fit the DATCOM cover to the inverterPlease include the returns paperwork for easy identification
When installing the replacement inverter:
Avoid damaging the replacement unit’s packaging. You will need this for returnsEnsure the transit cover is removed from the replacement unitSecurely fit the original inverter’s front cover to the replacement unitEnsure the new unit is bolted to the back-plateProgramme the replacement with the correct grid code (usually GB)
