BRIGHTON, ONTARIO INSTALLATION
/ The largest Fronius installation in Canada to date.
/ Description of the system: This 200 kWp AC installation in Brighton,
Ontario was installed on two south-facing poultry barns. As part of the Feed-in
Tariff program, the plant operator has a 20-year contract with the Ontario
government and all energy produced is transmitted to the public utility grid.
The twenty Fronius IG Plus V 10.0-3 Delta inverters and AC service were
grouped together on an external equipment wall to provide ease of maintenance
and servicing [pictured above and on right].
/ Connection to the grid posed a challenge and 550 feet of directional boring
had to be dug underneath two railway lines and a highway in order to connect
the main AC output line to the transformer.
