on, rotate its knob in a
single direction from low
to high.

has two circles. The dual
element offers flexibility for
the size of cookware. Be sure
to place the correct size

To turn on, rotate the
knob to the left for the
inner circle, or to the right
for the outer circle.
3. Simmer to Boil Element Use this element when you
want to quickly heat and
cook large amounts of
food in a large pot. To
turn on, rotate the knob

KNOB LIGHTS
Each control knob features a backlight
that indicates whether a cooktop surface
element is ON or HOT.
A white glow means the
element is ON.
A red glow means the
element is HOT.
The red backlight will glow when the
element is still hot enough to cause burns
and will remain on after the element is
turned off until the surface has cooled to a
safe temperature.
REMEMBER
Be careful! Surface elements may be hot
even though they appear cool.

FAQ s
Why does the element come on and then go off?
The element temperature rises gradually and evenly. As the temperature rises, the element will glow
red. To keep at the selected temperature, the element will cycle on and off. The heating element
retains enough heat to provide a uniform and consistent heat during the off cycle.
Why are there streaks or metallic marks on my cooktop?
Sliding or scraping of metal utensils on cooktop surface can cause streaks or metallic marks to
form. To avoid this, do not slide metal utensils on the cooktop surface. Remove marks by applying a
cooktop cleaning creme and buffing with a non-abrasive cloth or sponge.
How do I clean the knobs?
First, be sure to remove the knobs from your cooktop before cleaning. Do not place knobs in the
dishwasher or soak them. Instead, clean the knobs with a soft cloth and mild dish detergent and
water or a 50/50 vinegar and water solution.
