Be sure the air conditionerhas been securelyand correctly installedaccordingto the separate installationinstructionsprovidedwith this manual. Save this manual and the installationinstructionsfor possiblefuture use in removingor reinstallingthisunit.
When handlingthe air conditioner, becarefultoavoidcutsfromsharpmetalfins onfront and rearcoils.
Electrical information
The completeelectrical ratingofyournewmorn air conditioneris statedon the serialplate. Refertothe ratingwhen checkingthe electrical requirements.
Be sure the air conditioner is properlygrounded.To minimizeshockand fire hazards,
propergroundingisimportant.The powercord isequippedwith a three-pronggrounding plugforprotectionagainstshockhazards.
Yourair conditionermust be used in a properlygroundedwall receptacle. If the wall
receptacleyouintendtouseisnotadequatelygroundedorprotectedbyatime delayfuse
or circuitbreaker,havea qualifiedelectricianinstalltheproperreceptacle.
Do not runair conditionerwithouttheoutside protectivecover in place. This could
resultin mechanicaldamagewithin theairconditioner.

Operation of Current Device

NOTE: Some plugs havo
buttons on the top.
The powersupplycord contains a currentdevicethatsensesdamageto the powercord. To testyourpowersupplycord dothefollowing:
1. PlugintheAirConditioner.
2. The powersupplycord willhaveTWO buttonsonthe plughead. Pressthe TEST button. Youwill noticea clickas the RESET buttonpopsout.
3. PresstheRESET button.Againyouwill noticea clickas the buttonengages.
4. The powersupplycord is nowsupplyingelectricityto the unit.(Onsomeproductsthisis also indicatedbya lightontheplughead).
NOTES:
Do notusethisdevicetoturnthe uniton oroff.
Alwaysmakesurethe RESET buttonis pushedinforcorrect operation.
The powersupplycord mustbe replacedifit fails to resetwheneithertheTEST buttonis pushed,oritcannotbe reset.A new onecanbe obtainedfromtheproductmanufacturer.
Ifpowersupplycord isdamaged, it CANNOT be repaired.It MUST be replacedbyone
obtainedfromthe productmanufacturer.
