Installation Instructions
CONDUIT KIT with JUNCTION BOX
For Use With Packaged Terminal Units
Please read these instructions completely before attempting installation.
NOTE: These instructions apply to the Deep Wall Extension only through walls structurally adequate to support the unit,
(i.e. sleeve, chassis, and accessories.)
NOTE: ALL ELECTRICAL WORK MUST CONFORM WITH LOCAL CODES AND ORDINANCES. THE
NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, ANSI/NFPA NO. 70-1993 OR CURRENT EDITION, AND IN CANADA,
THE CANADIAN ELECTRICAL CODE PART I, CSA STANDARD C22.1-1993 OR CURRENT EDITION.
PE or PH MODELS
1. Locate the incoming power supply as shown in
Fig 1, and install the provided junction box using
the four screws provided .
2. Remove three screws holding the control box.
(See Fig 2). Pivot the Control Box down and remove the bushing through which the field supply
wires are routed.
3. Install the right angle connector to the junction
box cover.
4. Insert the provided bushings into the end of the
conduit.
5. Insert the conduit ends into the right angle and
the straight connector and tighten the screws.
6. Feed the longer wires of the provided harness
through the junction box cover into the conduit
and out of the straight connector end.
7. Install the straight connector end of the conduit
into the same location as the bushing for the field
supply wires on the control box.
8. Strip the wires extending into the control box
and connect them to the chassis wires using the
provided wire nuts.
9. Route the conduit down from the bottom of the
control box to the junction box. The plastic front
panel contains a notch on the right side to accommodate the conduit.
10. Strip the wire ends extending through the junction
box cover and connect them to the incoming L1
and L2 wires using the provided wire nuts.
11. Twist the incoming ground wire and the green
ground wire together (use copper conductors
ONLY) and attach them to the junction box with
the provided ground screw.
12 Fold the wires neatly into the junction box and
install the junction box cover. Make sure all
connections and hardware are tight. Replace all
covers. Restore power.
WARNING
Electrical shock hazard.
DISCONNECT all power at unit and
main disconnect box.
Unit MUST be grounded to ground
terminal in main electrical service
panel.
Failure to do so can result in personal injury, property damage, and/or
death.

NOTE: The junction box moun ting MUST comply with all local elec-
trical co des having jur isdic t ion. Sites for mounting inc lude,
but are not limited to: under the wall sleeve, mounted to the
right side of the wall sleeve, and built fl ush into the wall.
Wires brought into the box should not exceed four inches
in length.
PE OR PH MODELS
Locate the incoming power
supply below the wall sleeve.
