INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS ARCHITECTURAL GRILLE MODEL AG88

These instructions cover the installation of an Architectural Grille, Model AG88, into a WS model solid-side sleeve. The Architectural Grille must be installed just prior to the installation of the air conditioner chassis.

The contents of the package are:

3.Fiber strap

4.Studs, All thread (4 each)

5.Washers (4 each)

6.Nuts (4 each)

7.Gasket

Tool required for installation: A flat-blade screwdriver or 1/4" hex. nut driver.

STEP 1. WS sleeve should have been installed as specified in the Sleeve Installation Instructions. Remove the front closure panel, support bracket, louvered metal grille, and back weather panel in the sleeve. Should the air conditioner chassis be in the sleeve, remove the chassis and the louvered metal grille using proper procedures.

STEP 2. Position a bracket on the left flange inside the WS sleeve, towards the back, such that the two slots on the bracket line up with the holes on the sleeve flange (same holes used to mount the louvered grille just removed). Mount with two screws provided. Repeat the procedure for the right side with the second bracket by reversing the bracket. It may be necessary to initially leave the screws loose to ensure that all hardware will line up with holes. See Figure 1.
