INTRODUCTION
The Window Alarm is a vibrationactivated alarm that is fitted directly to the glass of windows (and doors). The vibration caused by an impact on the window or by someone forcing open and breaking the window will activate the alarm.
Safety: The use of ear protection is advisable when working in close proximity to the Siren due to the high sound level produced.
These instructions should be retained in a safe place for future reference.

SYSTEM OPERATION
Select the operating sensitivity, Hi or Lo as required using the slide switch on the side of the alarm.
Lo Alarm active - Low sensitivity Hi Alarm active - High sensitivity OFF
Alarm inactive /stop siren
Note: Setting the alarm to Low sensitivity will require a greater amount of vibration to trigger the alarm but will make it less prone to false alarms.
When triggered the alarm will sound for approx. 30s when the device will automatically reset or until the alarm is switched OFF.
TESTING
It is recommended that the alarm is tested immediately after installation and at regular intervals not exceeding 1 month.
To test the alarm, tap the window next to the alarm to activate the vibration sensor and trigger the alarm. To stop the alarm move the selector switch to the OFF position. Remember to reset the selector switch in the original position after the test.
Note: A cloth can be used to cover the siren and reduce the sound output of the alarm during testing.
