1. SETUP
Connect power cord and turn on the charger via the switch at the
rear of the unit. The charger will flash through a self test to verify
proper operation.
2. AUTO FAST CHARGE
Insert a battery into the top NP1 port, Brick adapter or front BP-90
port. Charging will begin automatically indicated by the flashing
yellow “Charge” LED.
IMPORTANT: BP-90 front port bypasses the top battery connector.
When charging is complete, the green “Ready” LED will come on.
The battery may remain on the charger until needed. The M1000
will supply a maintenance charge to keep the battery topped off until
ready for use.
Note 1: If the red “10V” LED flashes, this indicates a low voltage
situation and the “Rescue” program should be engaged. See
below.
Note 2: If the red “Fault” LED comes on, the battery is faulty or has
anomalous characteristics.
3. DISCHARGE
To engage the discharge function, press the “Discharge” button.
The orange LED will flash indicating that discharge is in progress. At
the end of the discharge cycle and a 15 minute rest period, the unit
will automatically switch to the charge cycle.
4. RESCUE
The M1000 has a unique Rescue mode designed to restore abused,
low capacity, or over-discharged batteries. If a battery begins to
show signs of poor performance, or low voltage is indicated, the
battery rescue mode should be engaged by pressing the “Rescue”
button. While engaged, the orange “Rescue” LED will flash. The
rescue process could take a long as 20 hours, so it is recommended
to run it overnight or over a weekend.
