To operate your FreeStyle® watch, please follow these instructions:
The term “MODE” refers to the function status of the watch.) Normal time mode shows hours, minutes, seconds, and the day of the week. To set time, see instructions below:
HOW TO SET NORMAL TIME, CALENDAR & 24-HR. TIME FORMAT
From “Normal Time” mode, press and hold MODE button; alarm time will flash. Press MODE button again; seconds digits will flash.
Press LAP/SET button to reset the seconds digits to “00.” If seconds are greater than 30, one minute will be added to the minutes display.
T o set minutes, press START button. The minutes digits will flash. To advance minutes digits, press LAP/SET button. Hold for rapid advance.
To set hours, press START button. Hours digits will flash. To advance the hours, press LAP/SET button. “A” for a.m. or “P” for p.m. will be displayed.
T o set the date, press START button. Date will flash. To advance date, press LAP/SET button.
To set the month, press the START button. Month digit will flash. To advance month digit, press LAP/SET button. To set the day of the week, press STAR T button. The day will flash. To advance the desired day of the week, press LAP/SET button. At any time while setting your FreeStyle® watch, you may press MODE button to exit the setting mode, and return to normal time mode.
To change normal time to 24-hour military time, press and hold LAP/SET button, while simultaneously pressing MODE button. Release both buttons. The “A” or “P” and AM or PM will disappear when the 24-hour mode is activated.
To check date while in normal time mode, press START button. To change date to European format, press and hold START button, while simultaneously pressing LAP/SET button.
HOW TO SET AND OPERA TE THE ALARM AND HOURLY CHIME
To enter the alarm time setting mode, press and hold MODE button. Alarm hours will flash.
To advance the hours digits, press LAP/SET button. “A” or “P” will be displayed. “A” designates time is in a.m.; “P” designates time is in p.m.
To set alarm minutes, press START button. Minutes digits will flash. To advance minutes digits, press LAP/SET button. Hold for rapid advance.
When the alarm time is set, press MODE button to exit alarm time setting mode and return to normal time mode.
To view alarm time from the normal time mode, press and hold LAP/SET button. Alarm time will be displayed. To activate the alarm and hourly chime, press START button. This will alternately activate and deactivate the alarm ( ) and hourly chime ( ). The sequence is:
=chime bell on =chime and alarm on =alarm only on
To return to normal time mode, release the LAP/SET button.
HOW TO OPERATE THE CHRONOGRAPH
To enter the chronograph mode, press MODE button once from the normal time mode.
To start (or stop) the chronograph counting, Press START button.
Split time is the time elapsed since the start of the chronograph.
To use the split time feature, press the LAP/SET button while the chronograph is counting.
Note: The chronograph will continue to count while the split time is displayed. T o release split time mode and continue counting, press LAP/SET button. To stop chronograph counting, press STAR T button. To reset the stopped chronograph to zero, press LAP/SET button.
HOW TO OPERATE THE NIGHT VISION™ ELECTRO­LUMINESCENT BACKLIGHT
To activate the Night Vision™ backlight, press LIGHT button. Light will be on for about four seconds. Do not press this button while the watch is submerged in water.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Back case cover should only be removed by an authorized watch repair specialist.
2. Always rinse your watch in fresh water after immersion in salt or chlorinated water.
3. Do not expose watch or band to chemicals such as gasoline, aerosol sprays, paint or solvents.
4. Periodically clean with a soft cloth and fresh water.
WARRANTY INFORMATION
Freestyle U.S.A. warrants, to the original purchaser, that its watches are free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ten (10) years under normal use. The warranty excludes batteries, crystal, watch case plating, and strap/ bracelet/ band. The warranty excludes normal wear and tear and abuse.
Special note: Freestyle® watches are designed and engineered to be highly water-resistant, and to withstand the most active of lifestyles. The most important component in keeping your watch water-resistant is the case back O­ring, which prevents water from entering the watch through the case back.
Water leakage most often occurs after improper battery replacement. We strongly recommend having a certified jeweler, watch repair technician or Freestyle's service center replace your battery. Water leakage due to improper battery replacement is not covered under warranty.
Should your Freestyle® watch require warranty service, send it along with the following:
1. A copy of your sales receipt
2. Your printed name and address
3. Your telephone number
4. A brief description of the problem
5. Please include $8.50 for processing and handling, using one of the following payment methods:

warranty expressed, is assumed for any incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to the mathematical accuracy of the product. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusions of or limitations on consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.
This warranty applies to watches purchased in the United States. For watches purchased outside the United States, please contact your authorized Freestyle® dealer for warranty information.
If your watch requires servicing not covered under our warranty (battery, crystal, strap/bracelet/band, watch case plating), or refurbishing, complete the return form (next column) and return with your watch.
