SFP/mini-GBIC LX Single-Mode fiber transceiver

The freeConnect Mod S210 is a high performance
1310nm single-mode SFP/mini-GBIC transceiver
supporting full-duplex, gigabit speeds on multi
mode and single-mode fiber for distances of up to
10km on 9µ single-mode fiber. This hot pluggable
unit has a metal housing to reduce EMI and to
increase durability.

The freeConnect Mod S210, interface fully complies
with the IEEE 802.3z 1000BASE-LX standard. How

­ever, the higher optical quality allow them to reach
10km over single-mode fiber (SMF) versus the 5km
specified in the standard.
