Getting Started

Viewing Help Information
You can view help information at most screens by pressing HELP. Help infor­mation automatically scrolls right on the screen and returns to the place where HELP was pressed.
Follow the Arrows
The flashing arrows show which arrow keys you can press to view more.
What is the Flashing ?
Some words belong to one or more top­ics. When you see the flashing T at the right of the screen, press TOPICS to view the topics with which that word is associated. To learn more about topics, read “Finding Words by Topic” on page 8.

If the word you are looking for is not on a Crossword list, press MORE to find more pos­sibilities. When you press MORE,

Understanding the Skill Level
The skill level changes the number of correct guesses required in Anagrams. It changes the number of letters hidden in Crossword Quiz. Anagram Solver is unaffected by the skill level.

Playing Anagram Solver
Anagram Solver builds words of a minimum size from letters that you enter.

Playing Crossword Quiz
To play Crossword Quiz, you must guess a mystery word. Its topic appears briefly before each round.

Playing Anagrams
Anagrams challenges you to find the ana­grams of words. An anagram is a word formed from some or all the letters of an­other word.
1. Press GAMES, if needed. or

If the anagram is correct, OK appears.

About the Batteries
This product uses four LR03 batteries (AAA batteries). The battery should be changed when the screen contrast is too light even after adjustment.
Important Notes
1. Different types of batteries or new and
used batteries are not to be mixed.
2. Only batteries of the same or equivalent
type as recommended are to be used.
3. Batteries are to be inserted with the
correct polarity.
4. Exhausted batteries should be re-
moved.
5. The supply terminals are not to be
short-circuited.
This unit may change operating modes due to Electro-static Discharge. Normal operation of this unit can be re-established by pressing the reset key, ON/OFF, or by removing/replacing batteries.
