INSTALLATION
• The manufacturer will not be held liable for any damages re sulting from incor ­rect or impr op er ins ta ll a tio n.
• The minimum safety dist anc e bet ween the c oo ker t op an d t he ex tract or ho od is 650 mm (some mode ls can be install ed at a lower heigh t, please refer t o the paragraphs on working dimensions and installation).
• Check that the mains vol t ag e co rresponds to that indicated on the r ating plate fixed to the inside of the hood.
• For Class I appli ances, check that the domes tic power supply guarantees adequate earthing.
Connect the extrac to r to th e ex haust flue through a pipe of minimum diam eter
120 mm. The route of the flue must be as short as possible.
• Do not connect the extractor hood to exhaust ducts carrying combustion fumes (boilers, fireplaces, etc.).
• If the extractor is used in co njunction with non-el ectrical ap pliances ( e.g. gas burning applianc es), a sufficient degree of aeratio n must be guaranteed in the room in order to prev ent th e back flow of exhaus t gas . The kitc hen m ust h ave an opening commu nica ti n g directly with the open air in or der to guarantee the entry of clean air.
USE
• The extractor hood has b een design ed exclusive ly for dome stic use t o elimi­nate kitchen smells.
• Never use the hood for purposes other than for which it has been designed.
• Never leave high na ke d fla me s un de r the ho od wh en it i s in op erat i on .
• Adjust the flame intensity to dir ect it onto the bot tom of the pan onl y, making sure that it does not engulf the sides.
• Deep fat fryers must be continuously monitored durin g use: overheated oil can burst into flames.
• Do not flambè under the range hood; risk of fire
• This applianc e is not intended for us e by persons (includin g children) with reduced physical, se nsory or mental capabilitie s, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to e nsure that the y do not play with t he appli­ance.
MAINTENANCE
• Switch off or unplug the appli ance from the m ains supply befo re carryin g out any maintenance work.
• Clean and/or replace the Filters after the specified time period (Fire hazard).
• Clean the hood using a damp cloth and a neutral liquid detergent.
The symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product may not be treated as household waste. Instead it shall be handed over to the applicable collection point for the recy­cling of elec trical and electr onic e quipm ent. By e nsurin g this pro duct is di spose d of corr ectly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could other wise be caused by inappr opriate waste handl ing of this product. For mor e detailed information about recycling of this product, please contact your local city office, your household waste disposal service or the shop where you purchased the product.
