The new PROTRONIC infrared control
system sets new standards for safety
as well as water and energy saving in
sanitary rooms. The core of the system
is an infrared sensor that is mounted
from the rear into the wall paneling.
The electronics within the sensor system control a solenoid valve to provide
non-touch water control technology for
washbasins, shower facilities and the
flushing of urinals. When used for WCs
the fitting is combined with a solenoid
flush valve.
Depending on the application, the control functions provided by the intelligent electronics include the ability to
adjust the sensor distance as well as a
time-controlled hygiene flush. The electronis in the sensor is factory pro-
grammed and must always be
installed with a separate power supply
unit.
In conjunction with the latest generation of ECC function controllers (ECC =
Ethernet Can Coupler) it is possible to
integrate selected fittings into the
AQUA 3000 open water management
system and to provide power at the
same time. By being linked together
on a network, the system's innovative
software provides functions for centrally controlling and managing any
number of sanitary fittings. To provide
data communication and host managed control functions, the respective
fittings must be connected to an ECC
via a specific cable network and
T-junctions.
There are different ways in which the
the sensor, the voltage supply (power
supply unit or ECC) and the solenoid
valve or the flush valve can be
installed:
• Via a service access duct located
behind the tiled dry wall
• Fixed within a tiled mounting plate
• Installation within removable
cladding
• Mounted within accessible
installation walls
• Fixed onto a stainless steel
cover plate

PROTRONIC infrared sensor technology – a standard system for controlling electronic fi ttings used in washbasins, in showers and for urinal and
WC fl ushing. Designed for modern concealed installations. In every case it is necessary to install the sensor together with a power supply unit.
In combination with the latest generation of ECC function controllers, this technology can also be integrated into the AQUA 3000 open water
management system.

fi tting for washing unit with combined controller and solenoid
valve for concealed mounting. For connection to pre-mixed warm
or cold water supply.
Combined control unit with round opto-electronic sensor that is
mounted from the rear, with a polished chrome plate, with integrated control electronics, anti-twist feature, solenoid valve with
bilateral fl at-sealing screw connections with outer screw thread,
2 m actuator extension cable and connector line for external
power supply. With facility for externally controlling the options
such as fi ttings settings and communication via ECC function
controller.
Control functions:
– Optional temperature sensor for measuring temperature and
recording the data every 60 seconds or during thermal
disinfection every 10 seconds
– Time-controlled hygiene fl ushing, optionally with fi xed interval
or after a certain defi ned time after last usage
Additional functions with ECC function controller (Ethernet):
– Automatic thermal disinfection according to German DVGW
requirements as well as safety switch-off
– Cleaning system shut-down
– Second by second time adjustment for turn-off delay

ECC function controller – A3000 open
with an Ethernet connection for the network level and a CAN-BUS
connection for the fi ttings level as well as an integrated power
supply. For connecting a maximum of 32 AQUA 3000 open fi ttings/electronic system modules which can supply power and
facilitate external control, for example to set fi ttings and for communication.
24 V compact power supply with primary switched-mode voltage
regulator technology. Connectable in parallel, short-circuit proof
and open-circuit proof. For mounting on standard 35 mm rails in
customer-provided switchgear cabinets or electric utility cabinets
