IMPORTANT: Faucet is sold separately and requires a 1 3/8" (3.5cm) diameter opening in sink or countertop. Spout can be installed in place of sink spray hose. If faucet is not to be installed in sink spray hose opening, it is recommended that a qualified installer be contacted to drill a hole through your type of sink or countertop. Thickness of countertop at the hole must not exceed 1 3/4" (4.4cm) . For best performance, allow a 2" (5 cm) space around the side and the top. Do not put any objects on top of the chiller that could obstruct the fan.

ElECtRiCal REQUiREMEntS
A 120-volt, 60-Hz, 15- or 20-amp, grounded electrical supply is required. It is recommended that a separate circuit serving only your chiller unit be provided. Use an outlet that cannot be turned on/off by a switch.
RECOMMENDED GROUND METHOD - The chiller must be grounded. This appliance is equipped with a power supply cord with a 3 prong ground plug. To minimize possible shock hazard, the cord must be plugged into a mating, 3 prong, ground-type outlet, grounded in accordance with all national and local codes and ordinances. If a mating outlet is not available, it is the personal responsibility and obligation of the customer to have a properly grounded, 3 prong outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
WARNING
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD
Plug into a grounded 3 prong outlet. Do not remove ground prong. Do not use an adapter. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, fire, or electrical shock.
watER SUPPlY REQUiREMEntS
If local codes permit, the chiller feed line should be connected to the cold water supply line with the “T” water line connector included with the faucet (sold separately). If you are using a filtration unit, the chiller should be connected after the filtration unit.
IMPORTANT: If local codes do not permit the use of the “T” water line connector, special feed valves can be obtained from your local plumbing supply retailer. The water pressure to the chiller should be between 30 psi (MIN) and 100 psi (MAX).

NOTE: Tubing must be cut to fit. All tubes must be cut squarely with no burrs. All tubing connections must be fully seated. Tubing must be routed to avoid sharp bends and have enough slack to avoid straining connections. A P-clip and mounting screw is included to hold the tubing in place as needed. Pull gently on each connection to make sure they are secure.
IMPORTANT: After chiller is unpacked, place chiller upright for 24 hours before plugging it in.
1. Determine where you will install your chiller. See “Location Requirements” section.
2.
For best performance, allow a 2" ( 5 cm) space around the side and the top.
Do not put any objects on top of the chiller that could obstruct the fan.
3. Shut off water supply valves.
4. Install KER1P faucet sold separately. See faucet’s Installation instructions.
5. Using the white tubing included with the faucet (sold separately), connect one end to the chiller (water in) and the other end to the flow monitor outlet (blue collet) . (See Figure 1)
NOTE: If you are installing the chiller with a filtration system, follow steps 6a. to 13. Following these steps will avoid the possibility of excessive pressure building as the chilller cycles on and off. If you are NOT installing t he chiller with a filtration system, follow steps 6b. and 10 to 13.
6a. Connect “T” (part 12) to “water out” chiller tube. Connect blue tubing between “T” and faucet, sold separately. (see Figure 2)
6b. If you are NOT installing a filtration system, connect blue tubing between the “water out” chiller tube and faucet, sold seperately. Do NOT use “T” quick connect fittings (part 12) or check valve (part 13).

7. Cut 6 inches of white tubing. Connect one end to “T” (part 12) that is connected to “water out” chiller tube and other end to check valve inlet (see Figure 2)
8. Cut white tubing between the “T” water line connector (part 9) and the white “water in” collet of the filtration system. Connect the straight thru ports of the second “T” (part 12) to the loose ends of the white tubing just cut. (see Figure 3) Connect white tubing included with chiller between the third port of the second "T" (part 12) and check valve outlet (see Figure 3).
9. Slowly turn on water supply valve. Depress faucet lever until water flows for about one minute. Check all connections for leaks.
10. Plug in chiller.
11. Prior to drinking water from chiller, flush water through chiller for at least 5 minutes.

- Your chiller has a dial for water temperature control.
- For colder water: Turn it clockwise (to the right).
- For less cold water: Turn it counterclockwise (to the left).
- To shut down the chiller: Turn the dial to the Off position at full counterclockwise (extreme left).
- Allow one hour to obtain chilled water.
dRaininG thE ChillER
1. Unplug the chiller.
2. Shut off water supply to chiller.
3. Open faucet to release pressure.
4. Disconnect the water lines attached to the chiller by depressing collet on easy to connect fittings.
5. Tip chiller to the left side (power cord side) and drain water into a large container.
6. Set chiller in its normal upright position for storage.
7. If the water system is to be used without the chiller in place, connect the blue faucet tubing to the flow monitor.
REConnECtinG thE ChillER
1. Shut off water supply to chiller.
2. Put chiller back in position, allowing a 2" (5 cm) space around the side and top.
3. Connect water lines as described in the ‘’Install the Chiller’’ section.
4. Slowly open main water supply valve and open faucet until water flows.
5. Plug in chiller and set dial to desired water temperature (See the “Setting the Control” section).
BEfoRE CallinG foR SERViCE...
If the chiller does not operate, check for these conditions first:
- Has the circuit breaker tripped or has a house fuse blown?
- Is the Temperature Control set to the “Off” position?
- Is the power supply cord plugged into a grounded 3 prong outlet?
- Has the water supply been turned off?
- Is the electrical outlet controlled by a switch?
tRoUBlEShootinG
PRoBlEM ChECK thE followinG
Water is not cold.
- Check that the circuit breaker has not tripped or the house fuse has not blown.
- Check that power supply cord is plugged into electrical outlet.
- Check if the electrical outlet is operated by a switch. The switch may have turned the power off.
- Cold water in tank is still being chilled. Wait 15 minutes and check temperature again.
- Check that the Temperature Control is set to the “Max” setting.
Cold water drips or sputters from spout.
- Check that tubing is not bent or kinked.
Water does not flow from spout.
- Make sure main supply valve is open.
- Check the flow monitor reading on faucet. Green light is good, yellow light is fair and red light indicates filter change.
- Check that water pressure to the chiller is 30 psi (138 kPa) minimum.
- Check to see if chiller is attached to hot water line. If so, attach to cold water line.
- Check filters for proper installation.
Unpleasant taste.
- If the dispenser has not been used for 3 or more days or if only 1 to 3 cups of water are dispensed in a day, the tank may need to be purged. Open the faucet for 2 to 3 minutes to purge the old water from the tank. Allow new water in tank to reach desired temperature (approximately 1 hour) before dispensing water.
- Check the flow monitor reading on faucet. Green light is good, yellow light is fair and red light indicates filter change.
