BATTERY INSTALLATION & REPLACEMENT

1. On the Battery Holder, turn the locking mechanism
to the “Open” position (using a coin or large flat
screwdriver to do this may help).

2. Pull the Battery Holder away from the Light Body.

In order to overcome the seal you may want to
use a large flat screwdriver to help separate the
Battery Holder from the Light Body, as the seal is
rather tight, especially for the first use.

3. Install batteries inside the Battery Holder following
polarity markings.

NOTE: Remove the plastic tab from inside the Battery
Holder before use.

4. Reinsert the Battery Holder into the Light Body.

5. Turn the Locking Mechanism back to the “Close”
position.

6. Test the Scout’s performance by activating the Power/
Mode Switch, located at the upper middle portion of
the front face of the Light Body (just below the LEDs).

NOTE: Inspect the “O”-Ring (located near the base of the
Battery Holder) every time you replace batteries. The
“O”-Ring is necessary to create a water seal.

WHITE LEDs ONLY: 2 clicks, top 6 white LEDs ON

ALTERNATING FLASH mode: 3 clicks, alternating
white & red LEDs

ALL LEDs: 4 clicks, all 10 LEDs ON

FOR P/N 301-312, 301-313, & 301-314:

ALL LEDs: 1 click

NOTE: Once all LEDs are ON, power the Scout OFF by
clicking the Power/Mode Switch once. Then repeat steps
for desired mode.

The Scout Series requires three (3) AA batteries.

Acceptable battery types: Alkaline (recommended) or
Rechargeable (1.5V–1.7V)

Mixing of new and used, or different brand batteries
is not recommended as this could lead to leakage or
explosion.

“O”-RING

PRODUCT DURABILITY

The Scout only becomes 100% WATERPROOF if the “O”­Ring is installed. Meets Requirements of NFPA 1971-8.6
(2013).

CARE/CLEANING

Your FoxFury product is a professional tool, but regular
maintenance and care of your light will maximize
performance for you. As needed, wash your FoxFury
product using a soft washcloth, clean water and a mild
soap. Be sure that the Battery Pack is SEALED before
washing. When done, pat dry with a damp cloth. Yearly,
use a silicone-based lubricant on the “O”-Ring to prevent
cracking and to maintain the WATERPROOF seal.

WARNINGS

FoxFury, LLC is not responsible for the incorrect use of
any FoxFury Lighting product.

Lights are strong enough to cause damage to the
human eye.

Do not stare into LEDs for long periods of time or
from a close range (less than 2 ft).

FoxFury, LLC is not responsible for any injury or
damage caused during the use of this product.

Usage of this product must be supervised by an adult
when it is being used by a minor.

Any FoxFury product should be operated at speeds
safe enough to maneuver around surrounding
obstacles.

Do not use under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

FoxFury, LLC (“FoxFury”) warrants this product to be free
from defects in material for a lifetime of use except for
batteries, LEDs, abuse, and normal wear. We will repair or
replace this product should we determine it to be defective.
This limited lifetime warranty excludes rechargeable
batteries, chargers, switches, and electronics, which have a
2-year warranty with proof of purchase.

This limited lifetime warranty is given only to the original
end user of the accompanying product. If you purchased
a product from someone other than an authorized
FoxFury reseller/distributor or if the product was used,
(including but not limited to demo models, show models
or refurbished product by someone other than FoxFury)
prior to your purchase, you are not the Original Purchaser
and the product that you purchased is not covered by
this warranty. This limited warranty is VOID if this Product
has been altered or modified in any way (including but not
limited to attempted warranty repair without authorization
from Foxfury and/or alteration/removal of the serial
number). To expedite warranty concerns, we encourage the
