Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the fosera Scandle. This system has been developed
according to German engineering standards to meet your daily energy needs.
The Scandle uses high quality and long-lasting lithium iron phosphate batteries
combined with our intelligent battery charge management for long life span.
The solar module is produced for high robustness under various weather
conditions. All fosera lamps use high-efficient LEDs for low energy­consumption and long life-span. The easy “Plug & Play” design allows
everyone to install a system, no technical skill is required.
If any technical problems appear, please contact your local dealer for
technical support or contact our German headquarter.
fosera Scandle can be used in parallel with our fosera PSHS and LSHS systems.

Installation

Place the Solar Module (A) in direction to the sun for
maximum performance. Avoid any shading of the
module! The angle should be at least 15 degrees to
ensure that the rain can wash dirt from the module.
Make sure that the solar module is securely mounted
to withstand heavy winds and storms.

Connect the solar module to the Scandle. Make sure
the module is plugged into the appropriate yellow
socket.

Maintenance

Clean the Solar Module on a regular basis to ensure proper power output.
Keep the PSHS and the appliances clean. Make sure that no water harms the
battery or the appliances. The battery has to be replaced if necessary. This
must be done by an authorized person.

Security Advice

 Protect the battery box from rain and direct sunlight. Indoor use only!
 The Solar Module is not fire resistant! Keep away from fire!
 The battery contains a high amount of electrical energy. It is important

that any short circuit is prevented.

 Any repair and change of the fosera products must only be carried out by

authorized persons. Otherwise is no warranty guaranteed.

 Operating temperature: 0°Celsius to 50°Celsius.
 Don’t damage the products. Do not open the products.
 Don’t use damaged cables! Repair or replace them!
 Don’t use loads and appliances that are not designed and certified for

the system. Only use fosera modules to charge the battery. Other
modules or chargers are not allowed. Only use the special fosera cable
for the parallel connection of systems.

Warranties

We trust in the quality of our products, if it is used properly and following this
instructions in installation, use and maintenance it should give you years of
satisfying service.
We guarantee it to be free from defects in material or workmanship for 36
months from date of purchase. On the battery we warrant 24 months.
The warranty becomes invalid if the device is used other than intended by the
manufacturer. This warranty does not cover failures caused by wrong
installation or set up, unusual use or failure to follow installation and user
instructions. The warranty is also void in case of repairs by any unauthorized
or untrained person. For further instructions please read the user manual.
fosera has the right to decide whether the product will be repaired or
replaced. fosera shall not be responsible for any consequential damage or
damage that exceeds the value of the product. A warranty repair does not
extend the warranty period.
In case of warranty please use the form below to send the product back or
bring it back to the merchant you purchased it from. The purchaser has to
arrange transport including the costs to our repair base.
fosera is not liable for any damage incurred in transit.
