Carbon is a natural, organic material made from coconut shell, and is harmless to your health. Clear water should be noticed after flushing through 3 to 5 litres of water (2 to 3 full reservoirs). Do not allow the water level in the reservoir to drop below the minimum fill line, as when the reservoir is completely empty the pump will begin to suck in air and make bubbling noises.
