1.- LINE/PHANTOM/MIC: sensitivity switches for inputs and 15 V phantom. These switches have 3
positions:
LINE
: in this position, high level audio sources such as preamplified microphones, CD players, etc. can
be connected to inputs 1 and 2.
PHANTOM
: in this position, electret condenser microphones that require 15 V phantom power can be
connected to inputs 1 and 2.
MIC
: in this position, 30-600 Ω low impedance dynamic microphones can be connected to inputs 1 and 2.
Use this switch with the volume at its minimum to avoid noise.
12.- INPUT 1/INPUT 2: microphone/line inputs that use a combined XLR and 6.3 mm jack connector,
accepting 30-600 Ω unbalanced and balanced microphone signals and balanced electret condenser
microphones that require 15 V phantom power, present in pins 2 and 3 on the XLR connector. They
accept high level, balanced or unbalanced line signals from CD players, etc. Select the appropriate
position using the switch, taking care to turn the volume controls down to minimum to avoid noise.
CAUTION
: when you connect or disconnect an unbalanced microphone, the switch must be in the MIC
position. If the switch is in the PHANTOM position the microphones could be damaged. When you use
microphones that do not require phantom power, make sure that you move the switch to the MIC
position, as the voltage present in pins 2 and 3 of the XLR connector can damage the microphones.
