SIGNIFICANCE OF THE SYMBOLS ON THE MACHINE*
The symbol formed by the expression “Class 1 laser product” written in a rectangle indicates that visible or invisible laser radiation could be produced. Avoid direct expose to the laser.
The symbol formed by a ray of lightening inside a triangle shows that the machine has c
onnection terminals or a circuit with areas with a current which could cause an electric
shock, even in normal working conditions.
The symbol formed by an exclamation mark in a triangle shows that the instruction manual must be referred to for information on how the machine works and its use.
The symbol formed by one square inside another square shows that the machine has double electrical insulation.
The European Community symbol shows that the machine complies with the current European Union legislation, as well as its transposition to local legislation.
The symbol of a rubbish bin crossed out and over a horizontal line shows that when the product is disposed of it must be done properly, placing it in a special selective electronic and electrical equipment container or through a dealer when purchasing a similar product, at no additional cost. It also shows that the machine was put on the market after 13th August 2005 (European Community Directive 2002/96/CE of Electrical and Electronic recycling, and its Spanish equivalent R.D.208/2005).
In accordance with what is set out in the aforementioned decree, FONESTAR is registered in the RAEE (Registro de Aparatos Eléctricos y Electrónicos) in a special section REI (Registro de establecimientos Industriales), with the entry number 001851.
*It is possible that some of these symbols do not appear on the machine.

3.- BREAKER: resettable 10 A fuse. When the power amp. is overloaded or there is a surge, the fuse will be cut off to avoid damage. It is reset by pressing it.
4.- Power supply input 230/115 V AC.
5
.- Power supply voltage selector.
6.- LINK: balanced signal output for channels 1 and 2 for connecting several devices in cascade. XLR c
onnectors.
7
.- INPUT: balanced signal input for channels 1 and 2, XLR connectors.
8.- Operating mode selector.
9.- GND LIFT: this selector is normally set in the GND position. If the installation has ground noises, move the selector to the LIFT position to disconnect the device’s ground and the earth.
CONNECTION
- Before making any connections make sure that all the devices are switched off.
- Check that CH 1 and CH 2 volume controls are set at their minimum.
Depending on the desired application, 3 operating modes can be selected using the selectors located on the rear part of the device: parallel mode (PARALLEL), stereo mode (STEREO) and bridge mode (BRIDGED).
PARALLEL MODE
Place the selectors located in the rear part of the amplifier in the PARALLEL position. By doing so, the input for channels 1 and 2 will be the input signal for channel CH 1 and the input for channels
3 and 4 will be the input signal for channel CH 3. Connect the channel inputs CH 1 and CH 3 and the 4 loudspeaker outputs. The output volume in the 4 channels is adjusted separately.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ON AND OFF
Before switching on the power supply check that the volume controls of channels 1 to 4 are at their minimum. Switch on the rest of the audio system and finally switch on the amplifier and adjust the volume controls.
T
o switch off the audio system adjust the amplifier’s volume to the minimum and switch it off. Finally switch
off the rest of the audio system.
PROTECTION
The amplifier has 4 types of protection: overload, overcurrent, surge and temperature. When protection is activated, an LED indicator lights up in the front panel and cuts off the audio output. In
this case, check what has caused the activation of the protection, leave it to recover for a few moments and then switch it back on.
RESETTABLE FUSE
The power supply source is manufactured with advanced components which absorb current peaks and eliminate fluctuations caused by switching the amplifier on. Furthermore, the amplifier is equipped with a 10 A BREAKER resettable fuse located in the rear panel.
If the fuse is cut off, due to a surge or excessive consumption, switch the power amp off, check what has caused the fuse to be cut off, let it recover for a few moments and reset the fuse BREAKER by pressing it.
