DESCRIPTION
The FONESTAR pendant speaker model EF-355 is an excellent combination of high quality coaxial speaker
with tweeter and a reflector achieving 360° omnidirectional dispersion horizontally and high quality sound,
making it suitable for professional audio installations in sports centres, stadiums, factories, churches,
warehouses, shopping centres, etc. Due to its special design, it achieves excellent results and clear sound,
avoiding reverberations and undesirable echoes.
WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
The FONESTAR pendant speaker model EF-355 can be connected to the amplifier with a 100 V line or 8Ω.
100 V line connection
1. The speaker is prepared to work in a 100 V line.
2. Depending on the power needed 55, 35, 15 or 7 W, connect the 100 V line output from the amplifier to
the transformer terminals, the common to 0 and the positive to the W terminal chosen.

IMPORTANT: for the installation to be correctly balanced in the 100 V line, the total watts that the speakers
are connected to with the transformer must be equal or less than the output RMS watts on the amplifier. If
the total power connected to the speakers is more than the power supplied by the amplifier, it can be
damaged.
EXAMPLE: 4 pendant speakers connected to the 15 W transformer:
4 x 15 = 60 W to be connected to a 60 W RMS amplifier.
With a 100 V high impedance line, making the correct connection with the transformers, different powers can
be taken to the pendant speakers for places needing more or less audio power.
EXAMPLE: 2 pendant speakers at 35 W, 2 at 15 W and 2 at 7 W: TOTAL = 114 W.
For connection to a 120 W RMS amplifier, the power at the different points will be distributed as indicated.
8Ω connection
Disconnect the grey parallel cable coming from the speaker from the transformer and connect it directly to
the 8Ω output on the amplifier. The red line marked on the cable indicates positive.
