INSTRUCTION MANUAL
We take this opportunity to thank you for buying this product.
We recommend you read the instruction manual before switching on the machine and follow the instructions
that are given. Keep the manual for future reference.
SECURITY AND THE ENVIRONMENT
ELECTRICAL SECURITY
Check that the current in the mains connection where the machine is to be installed corresponds to the
power supply of the machine.
To avoid damaging the equipment, electrical shocks, fire or physical injury when you connect or disconnect
the equipment from the power supply, pull the plug firmly out of the mains socket holding the plug, never the
cable.
Always do this with dry hands.
Keep the power supply cable far from sources of heat. Do not put heavy objects on top of it or change it.
Clean dust and dirt off the power supply cable regularly.
Do not open the machine; you could get an electric shock.
CAUTION
While installing the machine, make sure it is switched off and unplugged.
Do not open the machine. Touching the internal parts is dangerous and you could receive an electric shock.
The machine must not be splashed or dripped on. Never place recipients with liquid inside on the machine.
Do not place anything inside the machine.
LOCATION
Place the equipment on a horizontal surface with enough space around it to allow ventilation.
Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources and excessive dust.
Do not place the machine near magnetic fields or static electricity.
Do not use surfaces which vibrate or receive impact.
Do not pile machines on top of one another.
VENTILATION
Never block or cover the ventilation slits on the machine.
Do not expose it to direct sunlight or place it near sources of heat.
PERIODS OF INACTIVITY
When the machine is not going to be used for a long period of time, disconnect it from the mains.
If you are using an adapter, take into account that it will continue using electricity even if the machine is
switched off. If it is not going to be used for a long period of time, disconnect it from the mains.
THE ENVIRONMENT
To save energy, switch the machine off when you are not going to use it for a long time. The machine could
contain substances that are harmful to the environment or human health. To minimize the effect of these
substances the machine must be correctly managed and recycled when you decide to dispose of it.
When you dispose of it remember: it cannot be thrown into a conventional rubbish bin.
If it contains or uses batteries, these must be disposed of separately.
The machine (without batteries) must be disposed of correctly. Put it in a container specially intended for the
collection of electronic and electrical appliances, at the dump or hand it over to the dealer when you purchase
similar equipment, so that the dealer can dispose of it correctly (at no added cost)

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE SYMBOLS ON THE MACHINE*
The symbol formed by the expression “Class 1 laser product” written in a rectangle
indicates that visible or invisible laser radiation could be produced. Avoid direct exposure
to the laser.
The symbol formed by a ray of lightening inside a triangle shows that the machine has
c
onnection terminals or a circuit with areas with a current which could cause an electric
shock, even in normal working conditions.
The symbol formed by an exclamation mark in a triangle shows that the instruction manual
must be referred to for information on how the machine works and its use.
The symbol formed by one square inside another square shows that the machine has
double electrical insulation.
The European Community symbol shows that the machine complies with the current
European Union legislation, as well as its transposition to local legislation.
The symbol of a rubbish bin crossed out and over a horizontal line shows that when the
product is disposed of it must be done properly, placing it in a special selective electronic
and electrical equipment container or through a dealer when purchasing a similar product,
at no additional cost. It also shows that the machine was put on the market after 13th
August 2005 (European Community Directive 2002/96/CE of Electrical and Electronic
recycling, and its Spanish equivalent R.D.208/2005).
In accordance with what is set out in the aforementioned decree, FONESTAR is registered
in the RAEE (Registro de Aparatos Eléctricos y Electrónicos) in a special section REI
(Registro de establecimientos Industriales), with the entry number 001851.
*It is possible that some of these symbols do not appear on the machine.

CONTROLS AND FUNCTIONS
REAR PANEL
1.- USB/SD/MP3 player module and bluetooth receiver.
2.- FULL: LED fully charged indicator. It lights up red when the amplifier’s battery is fully charged.
3.- VOLUME: general volume control.
4.- CHAR: LED charge indicator. It lights up green when the amplifier’s battery is being charged.
5.- DC IN 15 V: power supply input for the mains adapter provided.
6.- MIC IN: mic. level input, 6.3 mm jack connector
7.- MIC PRI: switch to activate/deactivate the priority for the wireless hand-held microphone and for the
MIC IN microphone input. When it is in the ON position, the rest of the inputs will attenuate automatically
when a signal is detected in the wireless microphone or the mic. input.
8.- MIC VOL: hand-held wireless microphone and mic. input volume control.
9.- ECHO: control to adjust the number of repetitions of the echo effect.
10.- GT. VOL: guitar input volume control.
11.- GT. IN: guitar connection input, 6.3 mm jack connector.
12.- POWER: portable amplifier on/off switch.
13.- Aerial.
14.- 5-band graphic equalizer.

15.- DC INPUT: connection terminals for direct current.

USB/MP3 PLAYER AND BLUETOOTH RECEIVER
1.- SD memory card connection slot.
2.- USB storage device connection port.
3.- Information display.
4.- Infrared receiver for remote control.
5.- MODE: allows selection between the different playback modes: USB storage device, SD memory card,
line level input AUX INPUT or bluetooth receiver.
6.- EQ: allows selection among the different equalizations that exist.
7.- REPEAT: allows USB playback mode to be changed between the following: REP ALL (repeat all the
tracks) and REP ONE (repeat the track that is playing at that moment).
8.- CH-: a short press of this button allows you to move to the previous track. A long press allows you to
reduce the player’s volume.
9.- 12: to start and pause playback.
10.- CH+: a short pres of this button allows you to move to the next track. A long press allows you to increase
the player’s volume.
REMOTE CONTROL
1.- Activate/deactivate the audio output.

4.- MODE: allows selection among the different playback modes:
USB storage device, SD memory card, line level input AUX INPUT

(repeat the track that is playing at that moment).
6.- U/SD: allows selection between the USB storage device or the
SD memory card.
7.- VOL +/-: USB/SD/MP3 player module volume controls.
8.- 7/8: buttons to move directly to the previous/next track held in
the storage device.
9.- 12: to start and pause playback.
10.- AUX: to select line input.
11.- EQ: allows selection among the different equalizations that exist.
HAND-HELD MICROPHONE
1.- Battery compartment cover unscrew the battery compartment to acces the battery compartment. Use
two LR6-AA type batteries, preferably alkaline. When inserting the batteries, make sure that the polarity
is correct.
2.- Operating switch: it has 3 positions, ON, STANDBY (central position) and OFF. Put it in the ON position
to operate. Put the switch in the central position (STANDBY) to save battery and the microphone will
switch on immediately when moved to the ON position. Before switching the microphone on or off,
make sure the amplifier and receiver volume is set to the minimum to avoid damaging the loudspeakers
with excessive volume peaks .
3.- LED operating indicator: by putting the switch in the ON position or in the central (STANDBY) position,
the LED indicator will light up green. When there is little charge left in the batteries, the LED indicator
will light up red. Replace the batteries with new ones.

CONNECTION AND OPERATING
Before making any connections make sure that all the devices are switched off and disconnected from the
mains supply.
The basic connections are as follows:
1.- Microphone input (MIC IN): connect a microphone to this input. Use dynamic microphones with 6.3 mm
jack connector.
2.- Line input (AUX INPUT): connect an external audio source to the input (CD player, audio player, etc).
2 x RCA connectors.
3.- Guitar input (GT IN): connect an instrument of this type to the input with a 6.3 mm jack connector..
4.- Audio output (OUT): connect the audio output signal to a recorder, amplifier or another biamplified
loudspeaker.Line level output signal with 2 x RCA connectors.
5.- Switch on the amplifier with the switch located on the lower part of the rear panel. The device can be
powered directly form the mains supply or by using the internal battery.
Once the connections have been made according to your needs, connect the rest of the devices to the
pmains supply and switch them on. After use, do not forget to switch off and disconnect the device form the
mains supply.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

ECHARGEABLE BATTERY
To charge the battery connect the device to a 230 V CA mains supply using the CA/CC adapter provided.
Keep the device connected to the mains supply throughout the time the battery is charging which is
approximately 10 hours.
How long the battery lasts depends on the use of the device and the operating mode . In general, the battery
lasts over 7 hours.

ote: the device is provided with the battery charged. It is recommended that the battery is recharged
immediately after using it.
SWITCHING ON AND POWER SUPPLY
When switching the device on and off, make sure to set the volume controls to their minimum. Depending
on the type of power supply the device can be switched on in different ways.
AC: connect the device to the 230 V CA power supply using the AC/DC adapter provided. Switch on the
portable amplifier using the switch located on the lower part of the rear panel.
Rechargeable battery: with the AC/DC adapter disconnected, switch on the device using the switch located
on the lower part of the rear panel. The device will be powered by the rechargeable battery
USB/SD/MP3 PLAYER
Connect the storage device which includes files in MP3 formatusing the corresponding port (USB or SD).
Playback can be controlled using the controls located on the rear panel of the USB/SD/MP3 player or with
the remote control.
PRIORITY
The wireless microphone and the MIC IN input have priority over the rest of the inputs. When there is a signal
present in the wireless microphone or in this input, the rest of the inputs will attenuate.
To activate priority press the MIC PRI button located on the rear panel of the device. To deactivate it, press
it again.
BLUETOOTH RECEIVER
This model allows MP3 files stored in your mobile telephone to be played if it is paired to the bluetooth
receiver module of this portable amplifier
To pair your mobile telephone to the bluetooth receiver, select the BT option with the MODE button on the
back. With the bluetooth option activated in your mobile telephone select the BT SPEAKER device BT
SPEAKER device from the list of bluetooth devices. At that moment, your mobile telephone is paired to the
device.
All the playback options (playback, pause, volume, etc.) are available through the controls on the rear panel
and on the remote control

WARRANTY
This product has been tested and has passed the corresponding quality control prior to being put on the market.
FONESTAR guarantees the suitability of the product for its specified use during a period of 2 years from the delivery date and
commits itself to repair or substitute the goods as expressed in the Spanish law ‘La Ley General para la Defensa de los
Consumidores y Usuarios, Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007 16 Noviembre.
The lack of conformity in the first six months after purchase, due to a manufacturing defect, will be rectified with no more than
showing the proof of purchase. After six months FONESTAR reserves the right to demand proof of the product being sold with
that problem.
This warranty does not include damage produced by: inappropriate use or negligence, accidents, worn out parts due to use,
breakages, burns, spilt liquids or other substances, excessive humidity, battery deterioration and internal manipulation of the
device, the software or its components by unauthorized persons, and in general any use that is unrelated to the nature and
purpose of the product.
If any service is needed during the warranty period because of lack of conformity, please contact the business or distributor
where the product was purchased in no more than 2 months after being conscious of the problem. It is only necessary to
contact FONESTAR if it is impossible or imposes an undue burden for them to solve it.
To benefit from this warranty it is necessary to show the proof of purchase with the date clearly visible, with no corrections or
crossing out.
This document adds information, and never decreases the consumers’ rights, which in all cases are protected by the Spanish
law ‘La Ley General para la Defensa de los Consumidores y Usuarios, Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007 16 Noviembre.
