The FireStore FS-M records video and audio to disk in MPEG-2 MP@ML format, optimiz­ing quality relative to storage capacity. Unlike tape-based VCRs, disk-based recording en
sures that quality never degenerates, even after hundreds of recordings and playbacks. This

Intuitive Control

The FireStore FS-M is extremely easy to use and offers a variety of control options. The front
panel features a VCR-like interface that includes familiar transport control keys, such as re
cord, play, pause, stop, fast-forward, rewind, forward index, and back index. The FireStore
FS-M can also be controlled by external devices, via the standard RS-232 port. Using an
intuitive web-based interface, you can easily create play lists and transfer files to and from
a PC.

Time Shift and Slow Motion

The time-shift feature enables you to record and play back footage simultaneously, mak­ing the FireStore FS-M the ideal solution for time-shift and broadcast delay applications.
You can also view and analyze content on the FireStore FS-M at four different slow motion
speeds—an invaluable feature for education, training, sports, and motion analysis.

Flexible I/O

The FireStore FS-M comes equipped with composite, S-video, stereo analog audio inputs
and outputs, and RS-232 control ports, making it easy to integrate into almost any setup. It
supports both NTSC and PAL broadcast standards—simply select the standard you need,
and the FireStore FS-M will record accordingly.
