manual and to keep it carefully so that you can consult it later.
To ensure optimal performance from your outdoor loudspeakers, we highly recommend that installation is
carried out by a professional. They will be able to advise on the best placement within your listening environment
and adjust your system to achieve the highest possible sound quality.

The Focal-JMlab guarantee only applies if the enclosed guarantee card is returned to us within 10
days of purchase.

Installation

Loosen the two knobs. Remove the bracket from speaker (pic.A). Run the appropriate gauge wire from your amplifier (pic.
B). Mount the C-bracket to the wall surface by running screws through the holes located in the bracket (pic.C).

Install the speaker into the C-bracket. Turn the bracket knobs into the cabinet. Point the speaker toward the listening area
(pic.D). You must respect the connector polarity of both loudspeaker and amplifier. The positive terminal “+” must be
connected to the corresponding amplifier terminal and the negative terminal “-“ to the negative terminal.

Cable gauge to use according to power and distance in 100V mode.

Running-in period

The drivers used in the Chorus V loudspeaker are complex mechanical devices and require a run-in period
before they deliver their best performance. They must get adapted to the temperature and humidity conditions of their
environment. This breaking-in period depends on the encountered conditions and can last several weeks. In order to
shorten this period, we advise you to let your loudspeakers operate for about twenty hours at medium level, playing
standard musical programmes, but with a large amount of bass. Once the components of the loudspeakers are completely
stabilized, it is possible to enjoy the real performance of your Chorus V loudspeakers.

Warning!

Long sun and/or bad weather exposure can damage your loudspeakers.
We recommend that you place your OD 706 V - T loudspeakers under a penthouse in summer and to remove them in
winter.

CAUTION, the loudspeaker is originally set on 100V mode, in 30W position.

Input selector

1- 4Ω low-impedance mode
2- not connected (safety position)
3- 100V/10W or 70V/5W mode
4- 100V/15W or 70V/7.5W mode
5- 100V/30W or 70V/15W mode
6- 70V/30W mode

Please check at the rear of the loudspeaker that the switch is correctly postionned according to the amplifier
type.

Use in low impedance mode (4Ω)

The electric connection in 70V/100V mode is only made in parallel.

The electronic connection in 4Ω mode.

All Focal-JMlab loudspeakers are covered by guarantee drawn up by the official Focal-JMlab distributor in your country.
Your distributor can provide all details concerning the conditions of guarantee. Guarantee cover extends at least to that
granted by the legal guarantee in force in the country where the original purchase invoice was issued.
