1. At the versions alpha DSL WTM PC AD and alpha DSL WTM PC BD, modem and power supply PCB are attached to each other and the two 3-pole connections for the internal power supply are connected with the 3-core connection line. Modem and power supply PCB are to be attached to a PC/104 slot.
At the versions alpha DSL WTM PC A and alpha DSL WTM PC B, the modem is
to be attached to a PC/104 slot.
The power supply is realized only over the PC/104 slots.
2. The provided LAN adapter cable is attached to the 10-pole LAN socket of the
modem. The RJ45 socket can be snapped into the appropriate opening of a front plate.
3. The provided DSL adapter cable is attached to the 2-pole DSL socket of the modem. The RJ45 socket can be snapped into the appropriate opening of a front plate.
4. The provided LED can optionally be attached to the 6-pole USB / LED socket of the
modem.
5. By means of usual Ethernet connection cables, the DSL socket of the DSL adapter cable can be connected with the splitter and the LAN socket of the LAN adapter cable can be connected with a PC or another network device.
Note:
The non-compliance with the operating voltage at the PC/104 connectors can lead
to the destruction of the modem.

4. Connecting socket for internal power supply 3-pole on modem and power
supply PCB (at versions alpha DSL WTM PC AD and alpha DSL WTM PC BD or alpha DSL WTM LP AD and alpha DSL WTM LP BD for the connection of modem and power supply PCB; at versions alpha DSL WTM LP A and alpha DSL WTM LP B for the connection to the external power supply)
PIN Assigned with Comment
1 0 Volt Ground
2 + 3.3 Volt Supply voltage
3 + 12 Volt Signalisation input power
Maximal current of supply voltage 3,3 V at PIN 2 is 2 A. PIN 3 is the signalisation input power. If the voltage at PIN 3 is drop down under 10 V, then the modem send „Dying Gasp“ to the DSLAM. The supply voltage 3,3 V at PIN 2 has to be hold higher than 3,3 V over a period of 60 ms if the voltage at PIN 3 sinks under 10 V.
5. Connecting socket for external power supply 2-pole on power supply PCB
PIN Assigned with
1 0 Volt
2 + 12 Volt
At the versions alpha DSL WTM PC AD and alpha DSL WTM PC BD or alpha DSL WTM PC A and alpha DSL WTM PC B, the voltage supply is realized according to PC/104 specification over the PC/104 connectors.

Putting into operation
Putting into operation and LEDs
Required software drivers The communication between PC and DSL over the LAN connection is realized by means of PPPoE (Protocol Point to Point over Ethernet). The driver required for this has to be installed and activated on the PC to which the DSL modem is connected.
Note:
The PPPoE driver for current Windows version can e. g. be downloaded on the
website www.raspppoe.com.
After correct cabling of the modem, the following status indications should be visible at the top of the modem (see picture page 3, 4):
Status indication Meaning
Power Supply voltage available
DSL - blinking DSL training / dialogue between modem and
exchange / max. 10 min
DSL - glowing permanently DSL modem is registered, training / synchronisation
with exchange is terminated without data error
LAN / Ethernet LAN connection to the PC
