1) Begin by spraying a penetrating lubricant onto the front flange bolts behind the catalytic converter. Also
spray the rubber hangers that support the factory exhaust system. At the rear of the vehicle, support the
muffler with a stand and then using a hacksaw or sawzall, cut t he tailpipe in front of the muffler just after the
over-axle bend. Remove the hangers on either end of the muffler from the rubber mounts on the vehicle and
lower the muffler from the vehicle.

2) At the front of the vehicle, support the resonator in the center of the vehicle
with a stand. Then using a 15mm socket, loosen the bolts at the front flange
connection behind t he catalytic converter. Remove the hanger just behind the flange
connection as well as the one at the rear of the resonator. Lower this front section
from the vehicle.
3) Place inlet pipe #26354S into position behind the fr ont flange and connect the
hanger on the pipe to the rubber mount on the vehicle. Then connect the two flanges
together and use the supplied 3/8” bolts, nuts and washers to secure the two
together. Be su re to square up the two flanges to each other and tighten enough to
hold but still allow for adjustment.
4) Place the provided 3” clamp onto the muffler inlet then slide onto the back of
the inlet pipe. Support the muffler with a stand and tighten the clamp enough to hold
but still allow for adjustment.
5) Place a provided 2½” clamp onto the right muffler outlet. Place tailpipe
#16715S into position over the rear axle and into t he right muffler outlet. Connect the
hanger at the rear of the tailpipe to the rubber mount on the vehicle. Tighten the
clamp on the outlet enough to hold but still allow for adjustment.

6) Place a provided 2½” clamp onto the left muffler outlet. Place the front section
of the left tailpipe #16714S into posit ion over the rear axle and into the lef t muffler
outlet. Connect the hanger on the pipe to the rubber mount on the vehicle. Tighten
the clamp on the outlet enough to hold but still allow for adjustment.
7) Place a provided 2½” clamp onto the slip-fit of the left tailpipe rear section
#16716S. Then place the slip-fit over the back of the front section and connect the
hanger at the rear of the pipe to t he rubber mount on the vehicle. Tighten the clamp
on the slip connection enough to hold but still allow for adjustment.
8) Adjust the position of all pipes and muffler to provide a satisfactory fit. Be sure to maintain an adequate
clearance around all parts of the system to avoid rattles or damage to heat sensitive components. Once you’re
happy with the fit, tighten all connections down securely. For a cleaner appearance and more secure
installation, we highly recommend welding all slip-fit connections. Place the supplied hanger keepers onto the
ends of the wire hangers; these prevent the possibility of the hangers slipping out of the rubber mounts.
