OpERATING INSTRUCTIONS
USE EXTREME CAUTION. EXPOSED, SHARP BLADE. DO NOT REMOVE FINGER
GUARD. REMOVING FINGER GUARD COULD CAUSE SERIOUS INjURY.
Full Length, Cross-Cut and Diagonal Cuts:
1. Place cutter on the floor making sure it is on a level surface.
2. Mark your cut line across the entire length of the laminate piece, with the finished side
(decorative side) facing up (Figure B). NOTE: When using laminate with attached padding, cut with the finished side down and pad side up. This will insure the plank will move easily through the blades without the padding sticking to the base of the laminate cutter.
3. The Floor Boar has a dual blade system. Position your marked cut line on one of the guidelines
of the base to align the cut with the blades (Figure B-1). The two guide lines on the base provide a reference for the excess material that is being cut away during cutting and can also serve as guides to keep your cut straight. Make sure to position the side to be used outside the guidelines, with the “scrap portion” between the blades.
4. Before cutting, make sure the ratchet directional switch on the handle is in the down (forward)
position (Figure C). Remember that the scrap will be feeding through the middle of the dual blades and will be lost when cutting. To begin cutting, hold the laminate firmly with one hand and pull the handle down with the other hand. Continue cranking the handle until the cut is complete. There is no need to push the plank; the patented dual blade system will feed the plank through as you cut.
NOTE: If the plank begins to move off the cutting line, stop. Reverse (Figure C-1) the directional
lever and push the handle to back out the plank. Once you are re-aligned ip the directional lever
to resume cutting in a forward motion.
5. The cut side of the plank should be placed along the wall. The cut side of the plank (unfinished) will then be covered up by baseboard or finish molding.

Notch Cuts:
1. Mark the notch you want to cut out. Notches are used around door ways or other obstructions in
the perimeter of the floor.
2. Cut along the mark and once the desired notch length has been reached, flip the directional lever
and completely back out of the laminate plank (Figure D).
3. Repeat the process for the other side of the notch (Figure D-1).
