of the FRP Key Pad Upgrade Kits
(020003730 & 020003731).

INSTALLATION OF KIT
NOTE: These steps are to be followed for all Key Pad that exist
on the unit.
1. Turn key switch to the OFF position and unp lug the FRP unit
from its power supply.
2. Remove the merchandiser, and if the unit being serviced has
ADA panels, also remove the splash panel using a phillip s
head screwdriver .
Control Boards
3. Remove control board cover and replace both right & lef t
control boards. (See Figures 1 & 2)
NOTE: Software version is printed on a white sticker not stamped
on the board, Software V ersion 2.25 or greater required.
4. Apply new control board label over the existing label on the cover .

Key Pad Mount Assemblies & Harnesses
5. Disconnect and discard all key pad harnesses and note
where they connect to the control board.
(See Figures 3 & 4)
• 4 Brand Connectors
• 2 Flavor Shot Connectors (if equipped)
• 4 ADA Connectors (if equipped)
NOTE: Units with ADA panels will have two touch pad
connectors on each ADA panel and one at the main touch p ad.
6. Remove existing right and left Key Pad Mounts by pulling
the mount toward you, sliding to the left, and lifting out of
their tabs. (See Figure 5)
7. Replace with new Key Pad / Harness Mounts by inserting the
three (3) tabs into the mounting slots and sliding to the right.
(See Figure 5)
8. Units with ADA Key Pads, remove using a 5/16” wrench or
nut driver (6 per key pad) and replace with new ADA Key
Pads and Harnesses. (See Figure 4)
9. Plug in all Key Pad Harnesses to their corresponding
connector on the control board. (See Figure 6)
Program Carb/Non-Carb Drinks
10. Plug the FRP back into its power supply, turn the key
switch to the ON position, and test all touch pads to verify
all valves dispense properly .
1 1. Refer to the next p age or the FRP Programmi ng insert
(020002362) attached to the unit in the merchandiser area
for instructions on how to set Carb/Non-Carb drinks in
Program Mode 1.
Reassemble Unit & Apply Labels
12. Replace control board cover, merchandiser, and splash panel.
13. Apply Brand label packet (020002552) to the Brand Keypads
using the same configuration as removed keypads.
(See Figure 6)
14. For units equipped with ADA splash panel keypads;
Apply ADA Brand label packet (020003314) to the ADA
Keyp ad s corresponding to the Brand Keyp ad configuration.

The control box label is your programming reference sheet and control board identifier. Becoming familiar with this label will greatly assist you in
programming, brixing and even trouble shooting the boards on the Flav'R-Pic unit if necessary. The illustration above tells you what each area of the label
does. In each called out area there are abbreviated instructions for one of the th ree programming modes.
MODE 1 = carb/non-carb & Flavor shot INFO MODE 2 = Brixing MODE 3 = Touch pad LED Sequencing
A program button is located to the right of each numbered LED display. The one on the left controls the left control board and the one on the right controls the
right control board. Holding either in for approximately 3 seconds will put the respective board into a programming mode. For this label to make sense,
especially when brixing, you will need to reference the plumbing label (020001891) located on the foam front behind the splash panel or in the plumbing
section of the Flav’R-Pic manual (020002066). Also identified on the top and bottom edges of the control box label are the wire harness locations/
identification, showing where they are connected to the boards behind the box. It is recommended to only program one board at a time.

Mode 1 displayed above, allows you to select your carb/non-carb setti ngs for dispense point s N3 (Nozzle 3) thro ugh the left con trol board and/or N4 (Nozzle
4) with the right control board. Only nozzles N3 and N4 have the option to be a non-carb drink, N 1 and N6 are carb onated only. Mode 1 is also used to set a
1 or 2 second dispense duration for flavor shots on N2 and N5 using their corresponding control bo ard.

Designate a drink on N3 or N4 Carbonated or Non-Carbonated
1. Choose a control board, if programing N3 (Nozzle 3) use the left control
board, if programming N4 use the right control board.
2. Press program button and hold for 3 seconds or until the LED displays 1.
3. T o set a carbonated drink for N3 (Nozzle 3) touch one of the following
touch pads; S5, S6, S7, or S8 until the LEDs around the touch pad
are constant.
4. T o set a non-carbonated drink for N3 (Nozzle 3) touch one of the
following touch pads; S5, S6, S7, or S8 until the LEDs around the touch
pad blink.
5. Follow the same instructions for N4 (Nozzle 4) using the right control
board and touch pads S9, S10, S1 1, or S12.
6. When you are finished press the program button to go to a different
mode or save your settings and return the control board to the dispense
mode by pressing the program button and holding for 3 seconds or until
the LED displays 0.

Change the Flavor Shot Dispense Duration
1. Choose a control board, if programing shots for N2 (Nozzle 2) use
the left control board, if programming shots for N5 use the right
control board.
2. Press program button and hold for 3 seconds or until the LED displays 1.
3. T o set a 1 second shot for N2 (Nozzle 2) touch one of the following touch
pads; F1, F2, F3, or F4 until the LEDs around the touch pad are
constant.
4. T o set a 2 second shot for N2 (Nozzle 2) touch one of the following touch
pads; F1, F2, F3, or F4 until the LEDs around the touch pad are blinking.
5. Follow the same instructions for N5 (Nozzle 5) using the right control
board and touch pads F5, F6, F7, or F8.
6. When you are finished press the program button to go to a different
mode or save your settings and return the control board to the dispense
mode by pressing the program button and holding for 3 seconds or until
the LED displays 0.
