LEGAL DISCLAIMER:
Most insurance companies will require proof that any work undertaken in or around your house regarding plumping has been completed by a licensed plumber. If it is found the work was not completed by a plumber, house insurance may not be covered. We therefore recommend ALL parts to the installation are completed by a licensed plumber.
The warranty documentation can be found at the end of this installation guide.
SOME GENERAL RULES REGARDING RAINPACTM:
DO NOT use hot water to clean your RainPacTM;
DO NOT use high pressure water cleaners on any part of the RainPacTM;
DO NOT use any other cleaning agent or solvent to clean your RainPacTM at any stage;
DO NOT complete the installation process without the help of a licensed plumber – failure to do so may void 10 year
warranty;
The set height of the overflow must suit the listed heights outlined on page 5 & again on page 11 for the width of the RainPacTM being installed.
The overflow must NEVER be installed above these listed heights. Failure to follow the listed heights will void your manufacturer’s warranty.
DO NOT USE YOUR RAINPACTM TO STORE ANY OTHER LIQUID THAN HARVESTED RAINWATER / ROOF WATER.

Congratulations on your purchase of a RainPacTM under house rainwater bladder for the collection and harvesting of precious rainwater/roof water. The following instructions are very important and will help ensure that the bladder gives you years of trouble free service.
SUPPLIED COMPONENTS:
Carefully open your RainPacTM box – do not use a knife to cut the box open as it could cut into the RainPacTM bladder. In the box are the following (all fittings are storm water rated):
1 x 100mm threaded poly socket
1 x 100mm pipe adaptor
1 x 100mm-90mm bush type adapter
1 x 90mm PVC female/female elbows (90 deg)
2 x 90mm PVC male/female elbow (90 deg)
1 x Leaf Eater Ultra Rain Head
1 x 90mm Tank Overflow Flap Valve Mozzie Stoppa
2 x 90mm PVC tee
1 x 1 metre x 90mm PVC pipe
1 x pipe cement kit
1 x 32mm ball valve for outlets
1 x 1 metre x 32mm flexible outlet hose with male BSP threads
(black)
1 x 12mm x 10M teflon tape
1 x 50mm vent cowl breather
1 x 50mm pipe adaptor
1 x 50mm - 40mm bush adaptor
NOTE: There is no reference to the breather setup in this installation guide as nothing needs to be done to the existing system already on the tank.
Please contact FloatPac on 1300 306 000 or +61 (0) 3 9548 4700 if any of the above parts are missing. Please note that this is designed as a starter kit and you may require additional fittings, depending on your site and install requirements. The licensed plumber will be able to advise the cost of additional parts, and what you require to have your RainPacTM system running at an optimal level.

You will require the following tools to complete installation of the bladder/s:
1. Tape measure;
2. Spirit level;
3. Shovel or spade for levelling and creating trenches for inlet and outlets;
4. Saws for cutting and additional PVC piping that will be required;
5. Power drill with ratchet screw driver for tightening hose clamps etc.; and,
6. Wrenches to tighten threaded fittings 100mm & 32mm in size.
MAINTENANCE:
Regularly check the site where the bladder is installed to ensure nothing is rubbing against it, and that there is nothing sharp around the bladders. The filters supplied need to be maintained – see the manufactures instructions for further information. We also recommend that you use the stored water as much as possible – this will help keep the water supply fresh and help to increase the life of the material, thus increasing the lifespan of the bladder. Any repairs etc. need to be reported to FloatPac within seven days of any damage being noticed. Small puncture holes can be easily repaired onsite, although any larger damage will need to be assessed by FloatPac at our manufacturing plant in Springvale, Victoria.

SITE PREPARATON FOR INSTALLATION:
We recommend that the chosen installation area is flat – clear the area of bricks, tiles glass, and anything else that maybe present before levelling out. Each RainPacTM bladder has its own height clearance requirements based on the width of the bladder. Details of the required clearances are as follows:
(made to order tanks will have the height clearance written on the label of the bladder box)
BLADDERS WIDTH (METRES/MM)
REQUIRED HEIGHT CLEARANCE ( MINIMUM)
1 metre
– 1000mm
400mm
1.3 metres
– 1300mm
500mm
1.6 metres
– 1600mm
650mm
2 metres
– 2000mm
715mm
2.3 metres
– 2300mm
715mm
2.6 metres
– 2600mm
715mm
Installation of the overflow system above these height restrictions will mean the RainPac
TM
will overfill, and this will void the warranty. If you do not have
enough height as per the guide above, the overflow can be dropped to the height you have available without voiding the warranty.
RainPacTM must be installed on flat ground.
Some general rules to follow when selecting the site:
1. Make sure the corresponding bladder and clearance requirement listed above suits the selected area;
2. The area should be relatively close to the downpipe/s from where the RainPacTM will fill. Additionally, as all fittings are situated at one end, this end should be the closest to the downpipe/s(where possible); and,
3. The chosen site should be dedicated to the RainPacTM with nothing else being stored near the bladders that could damage them.
