MILLING MACHINE VISOR GUARD KIT

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Install Machine Arm on the horizontal area behind the motor
drive head.

There are several methods of installation depending on your
machine.

1. Use the 3/4”, 5/8” or 19mm threaded lifting hole if avail­able
5/8” reducer washer supplied
Tighten the 3/8” bolts 2X to stabilize the arm
This kit is set up for left side installation
For right side installation reverse flexarm to shield mount

2. Drill & tap 3/8” -24 holes 2X. Use the Machine Arm as a
drill template

3. Use the 1/2” holes 2X and drill & tap custom mounting
holes

4. For machines with a Digital Readout mounted in the
lifting hole use the Readout spacer

Install the Horizontal Tube into tube mount and lock

1. The tube mount can be adjusted left or right

2. The Horizontal Tube can be adjusted front to back

3. The Vertical angle should be in the vertical downward posi­tion

Install the

Flexarm/Shield to the Vertical Angle

1. Remove the screws from the flexarm body

2. Install the flexarm body to the bottom of vertical angle with
screws and lock washers

Adjust the vertical angle up and down and adjust the flexarm
to properly position the shield

Adjust the flexarm tension so it will hold the shield in position
but can easily be moved
